Jharna Resort,Tadoba - Resort hotel in Chimur - Chandrapur, India

This place has a wonderful location surrounded by lust forest and has so much potential but it is NOT well maintained at all, sadly. The room looked gorgeous at first and seemed clean but the bed linens were filthy. The thin mattress only had one thin sheet covering it and I woke up the next days with BED BUG BITES!!!! (I was the only one bit out of 5 rooms of people but i checked the mattress the next morning and it was BLACK and dirty around the seams..I should've checked at night.) The pool was really dirty and GREEN with algae and standing water, the splash area was unclean with way too many malfunctioning spouts, and the hot tub was hazy standing water. While a few staff got the splash area to function and turned on the pool fountain, even the furniture around the pool area was 50% broken with chips and cracks. The food was okay. The grounds are full of plants (and also natural insects) but the lights went out while we were there and the pathways had no working back up lights so it was pitch black until power came back. The wifi ONLY works in the reception area (just a helpful hint). They had a playroom too but again with old, broken equipment. While we made use of everything and had a great time because of our company, this place could be a major destination for nature lovers and international travelers bringing in so much money IF they can spruce up the place more and keep it that way. The ad photos make it look absolutely blissful but the experience was of a rundown, has been place. I hope someone sees this who can effect change there because I would love to be a regular visitor but not with these current conditions.

Great place.Spacious rooms.huge property with lots of amenities. Enjoyed the pool time in evening. Only one mention would be try to get rid of the damp smell in rooms which is a minute setback. Kudos to the entire team.

Experience Subpar Service at Premium Prices Our group of 12 experienced extremely disappointing service at Jharna Resort, where we booked 6 rooms. Here's a summary of our experience: 1) Upon entering the resort, they offered us a welcome drink but denied providing water for medication, insisting we purchase it. 2) Room service was inadequate and unsatisfactory. 3) Three rooms had remotes with no cells. 4) TVs in two rooms were non-functional due to unrecharged accounts. 5) The breakfast service was substandard. 6) Requests for morning tea in the rooms were unmet. 7) The pool was poorly maintained, with frogs and flies present. 8) The rain dance facility was non-operational. 9) The reception staff was rude and unresponsive. 10) The food quality was mediocre. 11) Post-payment, our concerns and queries were largely ignored. On a positive note: 1) The location was prime. This was a regrettable experience, and the lack of basic amenities and courteous service was unexpected, especially considering the premium we paid.

Had stayed at jharna 4 years ago and had fond memories so revisited in July 2023 but was a disappointed with the policies , the rooms weren't in the condition I remember them . Food was average not at the level of what you pay them for and the most shocking part was that we had paid in advance for 2 nights but decided to leave after one ... And shockingly were not given any refund .. This policy is scary for travellers as you may loose your money , they charge even if you don't stay .. this I felt was not acceptable as we did mention to charge cancellation .. Do not pay in advance is my advice as there is no consumer protection here ! Take away all the value of great location

I visited this premium resort on 20th October 23... The location of property is exclusive but sadly the Manager Mr. Patankar made our overall experience pathetic... Never experienced such pathetic hospitality till date. He was soo stubborn, adamant n arrogant who needed NO business.. he literally made us exit their premises within 10 mins of booking... Cottage rooms were so unused n in bad condition... swimming pool was full of dirty water.. only good side was their newly built premium rooms n greenery around property.. We stayed at newly launched Oakwood resort which made our stay excellent... They gave us soo personalized services with hell lot of food options.. they made our stay so premium n comfortable.. Please guys do think 100 times before you visit Jharna Resort.. .

Jharna tadoba is not maintained at all, the grass looked like it was not chopped over an year, hence the garden was full of snakes and lizards which gave us a feel that we didn't need to venture in the jungle. The filter in the pool was not working which made the water all green and it smelled bad, only the jharna(waterfall worked). The washrooms were full of flies in the night that didn't settle and kept flying out of the toilet pot. The food and chef were good. Rest of the staff was lazy and lethargic. Apart from the fact that the hotel is just located very near to the navegaon gate and the tigers come very near to the gate often, there was no other highlight of the property. Still if you decide to book this property at your own risk do not go for the cottages rather book deluxe rooms. They charged us hefty prices even on the last day of safari park closure (30th June). The owner was bashing the staff all the while during our stay but to no avail. More than half of the staff was absent.

Very nice experience. Resort is completely off road in forest near navegaon buffer zone gate of tadoba. We stayed in cottage which neat n clean service was also good. Food was really delicious you won't regret staying here.

Hi We have visited this hotel in first week of the month ,actually we have landed in resort quite accidentally ,it was exclusive gesture by all front office staff while check in ,we had a great time with family members at resort. Every place at resort is well thought of like rooms very clean and pleasant ,nice view and arrangements. Swimming pool side it's a wonderful place for enjoyment. Restaurant this is amazing place ,all the staff including head of the restaurant are very caring and they pay personal attention to the guest which feel us very homely and food items are very tasty and delicious. The safari permit was bit uncertain but some how we have got it and but was so much fruitful that we mange to see four Tigers for quite long time. Special to mention about our early morning bird watching tour conducted by Mr Dharmendra it's was a wonderful memory and more importantly he was so much knowledgeable that interaction has added value to us. Last but not least wold like to thanks front office manager's.
