A very beautiful & attractive place to visit. There are few private owned hotels, govt guest houses & a palace to stay. The forest dept guest is one of the better place to stay. You can go on day outing to various places with car rental which is available, but the rates depends on the time of visit. It is a must go place in West Bengal
I am shocked to see how people here are feeding upon tourists Who so ever is visiting Jhargram make sure you don't travel in cab with mobile number 938****217 name Shib Shakti Pal He is a fraudster.... Will make you pay whole cab money without taking to you places Miss managed crowd no maintenance of tourist spots I am utterly disappointed. Don't waste money.
This is a very nice place to stay and travel. There are so many places to visit in jhargram. Like KanakDurga Temple, Jhargram RajBari, Jhargram Minizoo, Rose Garden etc. The main thing is you can see the natural beauty of my home town. So, if you get time then must come and visit.
Best place for weekend...must try authentic foods like skinned chicken or duck curry with rice rotis.
It is my birthday place . It is just not only a place it is emotion
We visited jhargram for a 2 days short trip. It was a car trip and it was nice. This place has lush greenery and it is like a village, a bit modern though. It does not have many places to see, but it is a nice weekend getaway for anyone who is in kolkata. We went to Kanak Durga Mandir and Ghagra Waterfalls. The distance from Kolkata is around 200 kms. We stayed in Rajbari, that is also not very costly.
Its amazing Green natural beautiful place... MY CITY ITS A GREEN CITY.
The town is well organized with well laid out road planning within the core area of town. The atmospheric conditions is very pleasant and pollution free except perhaps in summer. The people are friendly. The town is surrounded by greenery all round with the famous jungle Mahal is just within few kilometres. The roads nowadays are smooth. Now,there has been a lot of tourist cottage coming up in the lap of natural forest in and around Jhargram and jangalmahal, besides ofcourse the existing majestic Rajbari complex. The quality of food, specially the chicken, both broiler and poultry, are strikingly better than Kolkata. The sweets are sure to win your heart because of their quality of pure milk.Jhargram is well connected by trains and road with Kolkata on one end and Tatanagar on the other.Within easily reachable distance are Ghatsila,Galudi etc. a weekend favourite for many.Even one can plan a trip around Jhilimili,Bankura, Ayodhya Hill ,Purulia etc.
Visited the Jhargram Rajbari last week to spend the weekend in the lap of nature, antiques, and luxury and the stay sure did not disappoint us. You can either book a room inside the main Rajbari or opt for rooms in the annexe building or the Rajbari
Just before outside of Jhargram town which is a great++ for this property. If you want to see Rajbari, Kanakdurga Mandir and Zoo along with river it can be done within 3 hours from this location. Depending on your interests. But after all the heavy w

Hands down, they make THE best Tandoori Ruti and Naan in Jhargram. The staff are very nice people. The restaurant recently shifted from the Local Board to the opposite of the Ishani Lodge. The place is smaller now, but maybe it's a temporary thing un

Nice little zoo. Even though you have to walk for long inside the zoo, you will not get to see much animals. Many bird cages are empty. You can't see deers easily.
