One of the most important stations in west part of west bengal but it lacks maintenance. The toilet in platform 3 is broken. Taps are not working.
Jhargram railway station is a railway station on Howrah-Nagpur-Mumbai line under Kharagpur railway division of South Eastern Railway zone.[1] It is situated at Jhargram in Jhargram district in the Indian state of West Bengal. It is 40 km (25 mi) from Kharagpur Junction and 96 km (60 mi) from Tatanagar Junction. Overbridge got overcrowded, no lift ,no escalator, they should implement or widen the overbridge. Cleaniness maintained. Inside station you can only find 4 or 5 store for buying any food items. Outside the station main market is located which is not that much cleaned. Ticket counter is also small. Overall good thik thak like.

In today's date, Jhargram Railway Station is much updated and upgraded. The only deficit is that there is no such good food stall or snacks counter on the platform. In earlier days, the station area was not well developed. But nowadays, there is a rickshaw stand, car stand and Toto stand just within nearby distance.

Jhargram is one of the main connecting station of the Junglemahal region in western part of West Bengal. The station was established long ago during the British Rule in India. Since then, most of the things remain same. But during recent renovation & beautification works, many old trees were cut down ruthlessly, which was the main attraction of this station & which was also the home of many birds & animals. Those trees & their residents were all together used to kept the ideal environment and the exact balance of necessary ecosystem for this Station!
