Jewel of the East - Hotel in Gangtok - East District, India

Nothing is better than this location in Gangtok for family trip. It was pleasant to see that the luggage was taken care off while check-in and check-out. The rooms were clean and the attached toilet was clean. Food not tried. cell phone always responded. Recommended. Best place for stay.

We stayed from 25th Oct2023 to 27th Oct23. Took 3 rooms. Absolutely fantastic rooms in terms of Cleaniliness, loaction and view including mountain view. The decoration of the hotel has a touch of Tibetan style. Good quality Carpet on the stairs and in all Rooms. Behaviour of the service staffs were amazing. They are ready to help at any point of time. Food quality was very good. Atlast but not the least, we met with the Owner Mr. Badal and we find he was very enthusiastic and energetic guy. Always looking to improve the hotel incl. service, quality and decoration.

It was way beyond my expectation. Have stayed here from 31st May to 3rd may 2023.Very clean and spacious rooms. Washrooms are well planned and always had running hot water. Food was excellent. Every staff in this hotel was very kind and always willing to help. The location of this hotel is excellent, just a five minutes walk to the famous M.G marg, even Lal bazaar is at close proximity. The taxi stand is just near the main gate of the hotel, ropeway is two minutes from this place. Restaurants are nearby. I highly recommend this hotel and my stay was fantastic. Hope to visit this place in the near future. Thank you.

Good stay, rooms are a bit small, but very clean and well maintained, stuffs are good and very polite. walkable distance from MG marg. overall experience was good.

Lots of negative feedback for this hotel when I paid Rs5K. Pros - Situated next to MG road where main market, Restaurants and Pubs are located. One can enjoy the night life easily Staff is good and humble when you talk with them Cons - 1) No electricity from 11 pm till 7:30 am 2) Very stained toilet seat. Cannot post pic , it's so dirty 3) Stained towels and no hand towels provided 4) No Blanket cover on blanket. Thus blankets are used by many people. 5) Lot of traffic and people noise specially very early morning 6) They want you to check out at sharp 11 am. 7) No coffee in the room only cheap tea bags 8) Shady lobby 9) Phone not working in the room I will advise travellers to pay Rs1 K more and book Summit or other better properties.

I recently stayed at the hotel during a busy weekend and arrived at 7.30 in the morning, ahead of check-in time. I was prepared to wait at the reception for a few hours, but the staff was kind enough to provide a room for us to freshen up and change. I am very grateful for their understanding. The staff also arranged a taxi for us at the last minute while we were checking out. The amenities were well-thought-out, and the staff was friendly without being intrusive. Overall, I had a great experience at this hotel. Furthermore, during our stay, we noticed that some guests tried to accuse an innocent 18-year-old boy of theft, but knowing the truth, we confronted them for their false allegations. The hotel staff handled the false allegations very politely.

From the moment I checked in, the management and staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. They went above and beyond to ensure that my stay was comfortable and enjoyable. One of the things that really stood out to me about hotel was the level of service provided by the staff. They were always happy to help with any request I had, and they made sure to go the extra mile to ensure that I had everything I needed.

very nice hotel in mg marg. worth the money. all the amenities are present and in very good working condition. hotel staffs are really very cooperative. would love to stay again in this hotel property
