Jewel of the East Residency & Spa - Hotel in Gangtok - East District, India

This place is really a good one.. situated amidst the city .. very close to the happening M.G.Road in Gangtok, it's really one of the best places to stay in Gangtok. The rooms are really pristine clean and all amenities including 24 hrs hot and cold water, well maintained lift, hair drier, electric cattles, etc. all are in food state and working. In matter of cleanliness, it ranks at par with the best in class. The view from the rooms at the upper floors is really wonderful. You can infact enjoy the morning tea looking at the clouds pass by over the hills just in front of you. And also see the hustling MG Road market from just your window. The furniture and fittings are also of good standard and pleasent. The rates are also reasonable keeping in view the standard they provide. They also have an in house restaurant and a spa to add to your delight. Overall it was a pleasant experience all together. Keep it up

Absolutely smack in the middle of m.g. marg. 1 minute walking distance from mall. Good service and great views.

On our Honeymoon, we stayed Here and this was one of the best Hotels in Gangtok. We had the MG Marg view room.. Their food was delicious each item was differently yummy. The place is very neat and clean. I forgot to take washroom picture, that was very well decorated with hair dryer and many things. Bed sheets were very clean and we love the environment. 100% recommended if you want a perfect view & peaceful environment!

Everything is excellent ...I am just not satisfied with food...they got very less options for food...only chicken in non veg.... Location and cleanliness A+ Hospitality is also good

This is the best hotel for your money in Gangtok. They are perfectly located near the main market area - just 50 metres away, staying close but distant enough to shield you from the bustle. They have a 5-star mindset, room is equipped with useful amenities like a hair-dryer, shower non-slip mat, plenty of table are to lay out your stuff, and best (and a much ignored detail in other hotels): room slippers, because it gets quite cold and isn't nice to walk around barefeet. The only complaint that we had: the beds badly needed repair. While this did not affect our sleep, they definitely made us feel like the bed might fall apart any moment. We didn't try the restaurant, but it looked good and, in our experience, hotel food is better than restaurant food in Gangtok.

I wouldn't suggest for advanced booking. because after getting advanced payments they are not giving appropriate view rooms. I had booked 2 superior room with view but I got a room with slightly view and another non view room. Infront of me outsider those are coming for instance booking they are getting good view rooms.There are no keys of both the room. I couldn't lock my rooms also. But location and Rooms a very good. Neat and clean. bathroom are also very good.

It was an excellent stay here, hotel is just on MG Marg actually, rooms were clean and various amenities were provided. They even kept warm water ready to drink in nice milton flasks when we reached. Also the staff is very helpful. Will definitely stay here again back in Gangtok.
