The rooms were good, the staffs were polite, and offered unlimited services as requested. One big advantage for choosing Jem Valley over others is that they offer 24 hours checkout policy at a much more lucrative rate. One disadvantage was the range issue for the Airtel network but when you wanted to enjoy the scenic beauty of hill station you should waive off the mobile usage. The location was great with picturesque view. Food was decent enough.
Rooms are good and balcany view is mesmerizing. The hotel is on high altitude which gives very nice view. Food is good. But restrooms in hotel was not comfortable to use. Car parking was difficult to drive in slope and park. Hot water supply is there and room service is also good.
Everything was so perfect here. The views, the service, the maintenance, the FOOD. Oh my god the food is so tasty. Gobi Manchurian dry is a must try and literally everything else.
Nice and calm Location and view points are very good. Food service was excellent. Pleasant stay with family. Best choice for the moderate budget and GM vignesh is a nice person, helped a lot.
You better be ready for a terrible experience if you are expecting great accommodation, good food & courteous staff when it comes to JEM Valley. We had booked this hotel through MakeMyTrip and I surely had my doubts but even still said let's spend our two nights there. We got to the hotel at 2030-2055 hrs. Person at reception was just about communicating (lack of knowing English or he was done for the shift). We finished our formalities and were told to head onto the third level in the property (mind you it's not third level in the building it's on a incline (hence it's said the Hotel is at the highest point in Kodaikanal) the road is very steep even the fittest person is bound to wait/stop to catch his/her breath - hence one has to have a car, as the hotel doesn't have any such vehicle to ferry guests. As its cold the hotel has a bonfire which as per the details on the hotel page says it shall be on the terrace but it's kept at the base of the 1st Rooms Structure hence everyone is greeted with smoke entering their rooms if they are close to the bonfire even at a height. Because of this we requested for a room change but again the attendants out there who weren't even wearing hotel uniform simply did not understand the request till I had to translate through Google. I had to yet seen that the linen was dirty and not fresh. So we decided to head to the restaurant where we were told after looking through the entire menu a Chicken Tandoori is not possible and neither was something as simple as non spicy food. Why as their Chef was away. So we had to settle for dosa only (yes we could have headed out but the Hotel is located 20/25 mins away from the town center). On heading back to the room area (approx 2210 hrs), we yet did not have a room as no one of senior ranking could make themselves available or even speak to us. We had to sort of communicate with the staff in whatever way possible. I kid you not we went through three other rooms and all of them were dirty, not looked after and with linen that was just reused. It was 2315hrs and we had it - we started looking for other accommodation that is when a Mr. Ammanullah (housekeeping in charge is what I was told by him) made himself available after being called from home. We showed him the state of the rooms with dust on furniture, Stains, hair on sheets and a dirty washroom. Reluctantly they opened another room which seemed fairly better but yet dusty. We agreed to staying here as it was late and the sheets seemed fresher (not cleaner but fresher) when I asked what is the issue I was told its an internal issue they are facing. I requested for a meeting with senior staff members the next morning (a communication I shared with Mr. Ammanullah) but two not a single soul neither him even asked how the night was and neither did anyone reach out to us on the 2nd Day at Checkout. There is no Tip Box so the lady at the Reception asks us to handover the money to them which I found strange. Only saving grace of this entire ordeal is the view is spectacular from sunrise to sunset. I have not shared images although I had taken snaps cause my phone is giving trouble. Visit Date : May 12 to 14th 2023
Location and view from the room is good. Food service was really quick. Out from the kodai town. So it is pretty silent and calm. Best weekend stay in stay The rooms are located on top of the hill. The roads are steeps inside the property.
If you are looking for a scenic hotel, this is the best choice for you. Room service is good. Around 5km from the center of the city. 500 will be charged for dropping from the bus stand to the hotel by car. If you want to visit any places in Kodaikanal you have to travel a few km.
Very nice staffs food was amazing reception staff so good service excellent

While we were on route to the property, we were disappointed on the fact that this place was 20km away from Kodaikanal Town. But when we reached there we realised we might not even go to Kodaikanal since the property in itself is very very beautiful.

I had the pleasure of indulging in some truly delicious hot chocolate, which I savored from a beautiful handmade ceramic teacup. The combination of the hot, rich cocoa and the smooth texture of the ceramic cup made for a truly delightful experience.
Great place to stay, was with my family for my father's birthday. Wonderful hospitality by the owners and staff. Clean large bedrooms and view from the garden is a must. Glad we booked this stay as it was very close to the town yet secluded. Must try
