Sri Ramachandra Swamy Temple is a famous Sri Rama Temple located at Jeedikallu Village Near Aleir/Jangaon. This temple is also called "Maro Bhadradri" as the temples' existence dates back in Tretayuga, where Rama shot Marichaka demon who comes in guise of a Golden Deer, when hit by Rama's arrow, asks forgiveness and Lord Rama emerges as "Swayambhu" here on the hillock. Now, on the hillock, where Swayambhu Rama is present, the temple was constructed. The uniqueness of the Temple was that Lord Rama's Idol is the only Idol in India with Mustaches and is the only Idol present without Laxmana, Sita Devi & Hanuman in Sanctum Santorum. Under the Rama's Idol is a tank where one can find tortoises inside the tank. Hanuman idol is present separately in the temple premises. One can also find Utsava Vigraham's here. This place is also called "Veerachalam," where foot wear of Rama as Sri Rama Paduka will be noticed near the pond. One must visit the Temple to get Lord Rama's blessings.
A very peaceful, powerful almighty rama temple. Had a good darshan. For special pooja with gotra naamaalu, ticket is available. We have two wheeler and four wheeler parking available. Road to reach this temple is also good.
If you want to visit the temple bring pooja meterials with you while coming from home because the rates at temple is very high.
Serene place. Lord Rama can be seen with a mousthache with his bust only. Before the diety of Rama, there is a 40 ft depth ,Gundam( Perennial Water hole).It is believed that Lord Rama killed the Golden Deer( Mareechudu) here( about two kilometres from this place)..
