Jedarpalayam Dam Park - Tourist attraction in Mariammanpadugai - Namakkal, India

Park was okay. No entry into the dam from the park, because a few youngsters passed away in the dam. We can buy fresh fish fry and curry in nearby huts. If you wish to play in the river, you can go a few hundred metres to reach a river bank where you can place( ask for directions from the locals)

Pros: *Such a good spot for summer vacation with plenty of water in the dam. *The ticket charges were only Rs5/person with sufficient vehicle parking space. *It has a huge children's play park with lots of trees, & walking space. *There are shops where you get ice-cream, tea/coffee, basic food (especially 'non veg'-freshly caught fish fry). *Best place to capture photos & nature view. Cons: *The place needs proper maintenance. The walking areas near all the shores were slippery, & risky. *The available restrooms & dress changing rooms were mostly locked, or not in using condition.

In this summer Jedarpalayam Dam park was a blissful visit. It can be suggested to anyone couples, families. Its very safe but near to the dam where the water is released it is risky because the currents are strong so be careful when entering into the waters. It will be nice to visit the place by evening time

This is the place after Bhavani where the little Dam like construction is built to bypass some amount of water via the side canel route. This canel is passing via the villages besides the main river flow. The dam is having a dedicated space built with concrete structures for the people to enjoy their river bathing and swimming. There are people to cook the fish and chicken curry and rice food for the visitors with considerable payment. The food and fish curry seems to be tasty (based on feedback from few visitors). The Dam Park is integrated with the Dam alongside the riverbed. Good place for kids to play and enjoy a lot with the time spending of maximum 1~2 hours. But the problem is most of the play equipments were broken or not usable. Overall good time to spend with family after the best river bathing experience.

Offbeat place ..!! One good place to have some great time with friends and family ..!! Well maintained park and besides park there is dam ..!! Wonderful place ! Not much of tourists here ! U can get some fresh fish fries near by ! U can enjoy in water from dam..! Very slippery be careful ! There is parking space by the road sides Overall a nice place to have some great time with friends and family

Quite unsafe due to the wind direction and the force of the running water. Changing place is Extremely WORST as they're not Maintained Men/Women definitely cannot use the rooms as they were UNTIDY Opens at 9 am ONLY Fishing is allowed, also they are served for Dining/Take-away Ticket Price : Rs.5/head One Word Experience : Nature's Infinity Pool

On my visit (03.Dec.23), we were not allowed to visit Dam. We were allowed to play in Play area. That play area was wonderful for engaging kids below 10 years.
