Its a nasty place where you won't feel comfortable. Three students are allowed to live in each room. Food quality provided here is really bad and can affect your health. You can play volleyball, badminton, cricket, and other outdoor games in the ground. Toilets are unequipped. This hostel is better than the SN Bose hostel of UIT college in terms of Maintenance, cleanliness, and everything. Maintenance of the place is just fine but not so good. But you will surely enjoy your friends company here.
J.C.Bose Boys' Hostel, UIT Golapbag Burdwan in Burdwan. This is only for college students of UIT Burdwan.
The bathrooms are really at their worst condition. There is only one acquaguard in the entire 4 storeyed building and its too got polluted by the rumours that the acaquaguard does not work. Nobody in the hostel use it. The cleanliness maintenance of the rooms and floor is terrible. If something like a fan, switch board or tube lights of our room stop working and be prepared that 70% chances are there that it won't be repaired. The path to reach the hostel from UIT and Golapbag more is really straight and simple. From golapbag walk straight(opposite of railway station) for 3 minutes and you will get a narrow student made mud road(shortcut). If you walk for 2 minutes more you will get the UIT gate. Reach up to the UIT building and from there take left and walk straight for 1 minute.
Well clean toilets..sweeper do this everyday.Never down electricity.But light and fan repair only one in six month ..and location is very good.
U can do whateven you can...because its a hostel

I like this place as hostel....it's far better than other hostel in all respects either taking about sanitation and safety .
This is only for college students of Uit burdwan.the building of 1st year students and remaining years students is seperate.so 1st year boys don't be afraid of seniors
