Jayanagar Park (as labeled in Google) or B. N. Vijayakumar Park is a lush green park located diagonally adjacent to the Jayanagar metro station or to the Southeast of the Jayanagar Metro. This park is under the maintenance of BBMP. The park consists of a yoga and outdoor gym space which are integrated with each other as well as a statue and seaters. Its well kept lawns and greenery is cut by pathways that hav tactile paving. The park is a basic regular park with a walkway running along the edges of it. The entire pathway is laid with tactile paving. The entrance to the park is parallel to the main road thus making the access safer. Dense trees and on the other end ward off major noises from the main street. This park consists of a single main entrance situated on the south east corner of the park. A board at the entrance reads the rules and regulations to be followed in this park. Seaters shaded by trees can be found all around the park along the pathways which are shaded as well. Dustbins are provided. There isn't a specified play area for children. The Toilets are currently under construction and there is scope for further improvement like the integration of drinking water and some equipment to keep children entertained.

Located in the heart of the city, right next to the Metro Line and between the Jayanagar and RV College stations, this B N Vijaykumar Park is a green oasis amidst Concrete, which is maintained by the BBPM. There is a paved / tiled and tree-lined walk way that takes one along the inside periphery of the boulevard. Ideal for walking and exercising, this park has a perfectly levelled walking track, walking tracks are crowned by pergolas of stone every 200m. There are comfortable seating arranged in different ways to suit one's preference, along with a gazebo which attracts many to the park. For children there are separate play areas. Diverse flora dots the inside area. For the health conscious there is an open-air gym for the adults and elderly with basic equipment, which are well maintained. The park also has a children's play area with minimal variety but well maintained. One hour of walking in the park, morning and evenings inside this rose garden would definitely set you up for the day. Ways to reach the park is diverse, Jayanagar Metro station is right behind the park, along with the auto stand, parking is also available for two wheelers as well as four-wheeler along one side of the periphery of the park.

These are precious green spaces that deserve to be nurtured, treasured and protected. The metro construction & its has way-laying has already taken its share of toll on the place, felling many precious trees therein. So, the residents of the area must make sure their prized parks are well taken care of. These parks are what makes Jayanagar what it is! A blissful place to live in!

A good park with loads of memories for me! But lately it is not maintained so well with tons of mosquitoes every time I visit.
