A good weekend gateway from Bangalore. we went on a bike ride taking the scenic route. We were not able to see the blackbucks as it was a little late. There are good shelters to hangout.
An excellent gateway for wildlife enthusiasts as the place never disappoints and surprises you with endless possibilities in every turn. Be it small birds or raptors or blackbucks, this place offers all varieties of flora and fauna.
Rode here on our bikes. It's an open grassland with no entry fees. Google maps initially took us into a village, but the actual entry point was a few hundred metres ahead. Local villagers are helpful. Inside the park, we are free to ride around on bikes or drive around in cars along paths. Completely off road and very fun to ride the trails on bikes. We can spot black bucks in certain areas. There are also watch towers to rest. Please take care of the surroundings. We found a lot of empty beer bottles and trash in certain areas.
Choose pleasant cloudy weather to visit this place. Fantastic for off roading experience. Vast expanse of small grasslands. Keep an eye on both sides of the road, as you may trace blackbucks. These are very shy animals and once they establish eye contact, they'll run off. We spent about 4 hours here. Were lucky to spot several blackbucks in group, but from a distance. Best to have good quality binoculars and a camera. Mobile pics won't be effective for long shots. Carry lots of water. You won't find food or water here.
A wonderful grasslands reserve for a day visit, the path into the grasslands is good enough to slowly drive and watch the black bucks. There are a lot of blackbucks , birds , foxes , wild hares , peacock etc. it is a treat for photography enthusiasts!!
Great place for morning or evening visit. Visit in the months of Sep to Dec as the terrain would be filled with greenery. Plan to visit in these timings 6-8 AM or 5-7 PM, you can spot many blackbucks.
A great weekend getaway if you're need of it. It has a beautiful view of the grasslands and much more. You can see blackbucks roaming everywhere and the wineyard surrounding it has a major brownie point. Must visit! :D
A peaceful place, without a rush from the tourists, photographers. The blackbucks are wandering freely. Spotted some rare birds in the area. Toll-free entry. You have to visit the place in early morning. Attaching some photos clicked by my grandson.
