Jatayu Rock - Sculpture in Chadayamangalam - Kollam, India

I appreciated the entire team behind this project. Must visit place in Kerala. Cable cars are available to reach the top. Otherwise, we have to climb 800 steps to reach the top.plastic bottles are not allowed. Water supply available in between the route. At the top there is a shop for cold drinks and snacks. Cash payment option is only available for entrance fee and parking fee.

The Jatayu sculpture is a marvelous piece of art, and the view from the top is mesmerizing. It's recommended to visit late in the afternoon to avoid the heat, which can be quite intense. The museum at the location is yet to open. It's important to note that there are no options for digital payments at the entrance, so visitors should bring cash. For the cable car, various forms of payment like UPI and card are accepted.

Disappointing factors: 1. It's not a big statue., it's a building with museum inside it. 2. The entrance to this place is only with Cash. 3. It's punishing as hell when the sun is at its peak. ( Carry your umbrella with you). What i liked: 1. Big parking space for all vehicles. 2. Cable cars to reach the top.( Separate fee for this) 3. The structure is big and good for pictures. 4. Neatly maintained inside and the staffs are friendly.

The feedback on the process of reaching here has been covered in a separate review under "jatayu earth centre", this is my personal experience of visiting only the sculpture on the rock. It's mesmerizing, unique, awesome must visit place. Even if you don't have an Indian mythology background, the bird structure itself will make you appreciate the efforts of the artist and the concept of linking it to women's safety and honour.

It is a wonderful place to visit. Very systematically administered. One can easily complete the formalities for entry into the property. Lots of fun games are available especially for children and the youth. Love to visit again.

This rock has some historical back ground also. Jatayu, an amazing creation with very good artistic mind. Ropeway arrangements are nice experiences. One must visit this place.

It's a fabulous experience on top of the hill. The journey through the cable car was a scary and thrilling experience. When we visited it was windy suddenly started raining and the cable car was stopped halfway. Though the sculpture was made up of concrete it doesn't feel and merges with the surrounding environment. Worth a visit!! They take cash only and keep anough cash in advance. It will be around 500 rupees person for entry and cable car. You have an option of walking route as well. Water bottles are not allowed keep them in the car. But water is available on the top.
