JAQUAR MOUNTAIN - Resort hotel in Gudalur - The Nilgiris, India

The resort is situated in a serene environment and the view was breathtaking . The host was welcoming and friendly . Their food was just like home cooked food and it tasted very good. Overall , our family had an unforgettable and adventurous experience here.

It is one of the best resorts we have visited so far and it was a surprise to see elephants and deer right from the balcony. It is a great place to visit with family and friends to enjoy the nature and get lost in its scenic beauty. The view from the room is excellent. The food served there was too good and tasty. Do not miss a chance to stay here. You will love it.

One of the best location which I have visited. It a calm serene property. Food and stay was on quality. <br/>If you are wildlife enthusiast, u just need to be in the balcony and wait, it's true u will find most of the animals crossing ( elephants, Sambar deer, rarely Leopards) <br/>Also I recorded 30 species of birds

Such a wonderful experience we family members and my 6year kid had and enjoyed a lot with the serene environment and we spotted some deers and bear We wish we would come again and visit the resort Particularly about the owner Mr Murugan,is very kind hearted and the staffs were so good and polite and their food was very tasty like home cooked and completely it is well maintained rooms with 360deg excellent views . All nature lovers should visit the place atleast once in their lifetime..

We can see Elephants, bear and may be cheetah around this resort. One side mountain view another side goodalur town view, very pleasant to see around. Best place to stay in mid of the forest. Very adventurous location.

This resort is a paradise for those who love nature and wildlife, the best place to get lost in the wild far away from the busy city life. The Hospitality shown by the Care taker and the Owner (Mr.Thirumurugan) by himself was simply amazing, everything which we asked for was perfectly taken care off. Both Vegetarian and Non-vegetarian foods were soo delicious. Coming to the best part of the property is the wildlife sightings directly from the private Balcony of each room. The list of animals that we sighted were Barking Deer, Elephant (Tusker), Grey Jungle fowl, Porcupine, Sambar Deer, Sloth Bear, one male Leopard by evening after the sunset and 2 Leopards (mating pair) on next day early morning. Completely satisfied with the pictures and videos that we took. I have been to different Forest reserves all around India in search of Big Cats but this place is going to stand tall. The place is high above in the hills and it's a wonderful place for couples and u can easily sight wild animals and the resort is protected by fencing so no need to worry ....

It was a memorable stay at Mammoth's. The location, rooms, staff, food, Camp fire etc everything was perfect, making it one of my best forest resort vacation. Stayed for 2 nights on 29 & 30 Dec. Lucky to spot Leapord, Elephant, Deers, Porcupines & varieties of Birds from the room.. Unfortunately, we missed out on the trekking on both days since a wild elephant was on the path of our trek.. Hopefully, will get to do it next time.. Special Thanks to Murugan, Ramesh, Stanley & the kitchen staff for making it a success trip.. Will be back again !!
