Wonderful place in the banks of maatha Kaveri. Here the Kaveri turns towards the northern direction so it is called utthara vahini. This pravaham is a holy place and a ghat. Rishis performed thapas here and it has a very old Lord Shiva temple. This is privately managed by KR Nagara mutt and swamiji has blessed this place. KR Mutt shishya sweekara in Feb 2021 happened here only. Please check with mutt office about Swamiji's schedule. Yathri nivas kind of staying rooms are available. Please pay a visit and have the blessings of Swamiji, Lord Siva and Kaveri. The water current in the river is so high during rainy seasons and please don't venture into unknown places. Please click on if the information is useful and the associated pictures are helpful to have an idea about the location
