Janak Vilas- A Heritage Boutique Hotel - Hotel in Udaipur - Udaipur, India

Very good experience at this hotel. The staff and front desk are spot on and very prompt in taking care of our queries. Location is superb as it's on the main road itself and City Palace can be walking distance, plus transport is readily available as you step out of the hotel. Buffet breakfast was quite tasty and arrangement for kids food was also done. They stand true to being a heritage boutique hotel as the interiors and decor of the rooms suggest, we stayed in the superior rooms and it was very nice. I would definitely return when in Udaipur.

I will mention the pros and cons..Pros-The place is comfortable, clean and heritage 'like' . The interiors are very good, the doors, handle, ceiling, the bed..everything has a rajasthani royal touch..Service was good. Cons- The location is not peaceful(just on the road), there is no lawn, swimming pool or any other chilling out activities offered by the hotel. The rooms are very decorated but awfully small..not worth the price they charge..

Stayed for two days in this hotel, feels like a heritage room but The Hotel pictures on the Website or any other web page are deceiving. The Rooms are obviously the same but the size varies and small, breakfast is good.The property doesn't have a fancy entrance and parking but the interior will certainly compensate it with it's colorful rooms and elegant interiors. The feel of the hotel is premium. They have a three eating outlets on the rooftop and they serve delicious food. The staff is well trained well behaved. Miss Hansa at the reception was very helpful.

A gem hidden close by to the famous City Palace and Lake Pichola. Had a really pleasant stay at the property. The rooms are nice, clean and cozy with a very authentic Rajasthani feel to it. The staff is top notch, helped us at every step. We were really happy with their hospitality. The roof top restaurant is also quite good. All in all had an amazing stay and would love to return here.

Had an amazing weekend stay at janak villas. Since we were traveling to celebrate our anniversary, they ensured that we have a wonderful stay. The rooms are adequately spaced, food is good, the accessibility of the hotel is perfect. The hospitality is beyond expectations. The breakfast was amazing. Thank you so much for making our stay the way it was. Would highly recommend the place for couples and families.

It looks small from out side but it's beautifully curated and every nook n corner has been utilised perfectly! The staff is very co-ordial and welcoming. The rooms are beautiful each with different decor but with a heritage feel. The food is great but a little time consuming to deliver at the rooftop. Not much happening rooftop, price is Little over then average.

Nous n'avons pas sejourne dans cet hotel mais nous y avons dine un soir lors de notre passage a Udaipur. Le restaurant offre une magnifique vue sur le city palace et les plats etaient delicieux. Le manager etait tres chaleureux!

The Hotel pictures on the Website or any other web page are deceiving. The Rooms are obviously the same but the size varies. The Wi-fi connection is not only poor but it does not work only, after raising complaints they resolve your issues in 2-3 hours. Even though the power supply in Hotel is backed by a Generator/ Inverter, there is power cut in the area multiple times in a day and you can feel it for at least a minute. The Buffet Breakfast menu is very limited, however, the food is good in taste. Also, don't give anything for laundry, they ruin your clothes.
