Jampore Beach - Featured Reviews (1806)
Jampore Beach: A Tranquil Oasis with Some Tidal Tides! My recent escapade to Jampore Beach unfolded a serene panorama mixed with a few considerations that potential visitors should bear in mind. Mesmerizing Coastal Beauty: Jampore Beach is a visual delight, boasting an expansive coastline surrounded by lush greenery. The sight of the sun setting over the waters paints a breathtaking scene. Murky Waters and Calm Tides: While the coastal views were enchanting, the water conditions left something to be desired. The sea appeared muddy, lacking the crystal-clear allure one might hope for. Additionally, the absence of significant waves or tides made it more suitable for a calm wading experience. Family-Friendly Atmosphere: Despite the water considerations, Jampore Beach remains an ideal spot for family outings. The wide roads leading to the beach and the availability of ample parking on the opposite side contribute to the family-friendly atmosphere. Amenities at Hand: Unlike some beaches, Jampore offers visitors the convenience of food stalls, drinking water facilities, and snack counters. This is a significant plus, ensuring that families and visitors have their needs met during their beach day. Fitness and Scenic Strolls: For those seeking fitness and scenic strolls, the approximately 5-6-kilometer stretch of road along the beach provides an excellent track for walking and running. In summary, Jampore Beach promises a tranquil retreat, though future visitors should be prepared for the water's characteristics and can anticipate a well-rounded experience with family-friendly amenities.
Very good, clean beach. Very nicely maintained by the authorities and a very nice place to spend time with friends and family. Read side free parking also available till the road ends so there is no issue of four wheeler or two wheeler parking. If you want to buy snacks, vendors are also available nearby. A very relaxing and fun place for kids and children. They can play around the place. Or some groups can plan cricket or volleyball like other outdoor games. Very nice place and highly recommended.
Jampore Beach in Daman is a hidden gem that offers a serene escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. Located around 5 kilometers away from Moti Daman Jetty, it's a tranquil paradise waiting to be explored. What sets Jampore Beach apart is its unique, blackish mud-colored water. The sight of the sea here is both soothing and mesmerizing, making it an ideal spot for those in search of peace and solitude. The remote location of the beach adds to its charm. It's a place where you can truly unwind, away from the noise and crowds of the city. The lush trees that line the beach not only provide shade but also create a refreshing, breezy atmosphere that adds to the overall charm of the place. Whether you want to take a leisurely stroll along the shore, soak in the natural beauty, or simply sit and gaze at the horizon, Jampore Beach offers it all. The sound of the waves and the gentle sea breeze create a sense of tranquility that's hard to find elsewhere. If you're in Daman and looking for a peaceful escape, Jampore Beach is a must-visit. It's a hidden treasure that promises relaxation and rejuvenation amidst nature's beauty.
Located at the daman ganga sangam. Quiet and ideal for water sports like Banana boat, monster bikes, speed scooter ferry regular boat ride. Voley ball court, is also there. Fares range from 250-300 per ride. Horse and camel rides are available from 200 rs onwards. Located next to light house in the fort.
It was empty. Little bit of watersports activity available. At one end. One end is absolutely empty. Be careful, people drive very fast on this stretch. Don't drink & throw garbage on the beach or on the road.
>> The sand color at Jampore Beach is grey or black. There are plenty of options to explore if all you want to do is enjoy the sea and its weather or the sunset. The development of the beach is now finished. moreover, it is lovely for walking and setting. >> The beach gets extremely crowded over this holiday, so if you are traveling with family, you might locate some quiet spots away from the main activity or entrance area. >> Though there are many of possibilities, I don't like to engage in water activities here. Beachside activities include Bagga Gadi, GTV for youngsters, and hourse riding. >> Public spaces, pay and use toilets are good, and you must follow to all traffic laws to avoid receiving a ticket immediately. >> Parking is easily accessible and appropriate for vehicles with two or four wheels.
Loved the ambience far from the hustle of Mumbai. Very well built infra around beaches but sand isn't good for walks. Water was very far from the beach when we visited so -1 star for that.
Only one beach thair you can enjoy horse riding and camel safari The Daman Ganga River divides Daman into: Nani-Daman (or Damao Pequeno meaning "Lesser Damaon") and Moti-Daman (or Damao Grande meaning "Greater Damaon" in Indo-Portuguese) . Despite its name, Nani-Daman is the larger of the two parts, while the old city is mainly in Moti-Daman. This holds most of the important entities, like the major hospitals, supermarkets, and major residential areas. Vapi, Gujarat, is the nearest city to Daman. Daman has significant population of khandeshi community which settled there for jobs The Portuguese Captain-Major Diogo de Melo arrived at the Daman shore by chance in 1523 while sailing towards Ormuz. He was caught in a violent storm and had his boat blown towards the coast of Daman.[2] Shortly after, it was acquired as a Portuguese colony for over 400 years. A larger fort was built in Moti Daman in the 16th century to guard against the Mughals, who ruled the area until the Portuguese arrived. It stands today, most of it preserved in its original form. Today the majority of the municipal government offices are inside the fort. Daman was incorporated into the Republic of India in December 1961 after an attack and invasion by the Indian Army. A battle ensued with the hopelessly outnumbered (10:1) Portuguese garrison, who were forced to surrender. The battle left four Indians dead and 14 wounded;[3] Portuguese casualties were 10 dead and two wounded.[4]

A pleasant experience. The Tourism department has done a wonderful job of beautification. Due to a lengthy stretch (about 7kms) one never finds this place crowded, not even on weekends. Enough parking space makes it easy and convenient to enjoy the v
