It is right in front of Powai Lake inside I.I.T. campus. View from it is so beautiful. It is so quite and serene. If you stay there then no need to come outside for food. There is a canteen and restaurant also. Very peaceful.
I stayed here for one night during my office visit for a meeting. The room was clean. Comfortable lighting, air flow. I could sleep peacefully. Thanks to the IITB Jalvihar team for good maintenance. Nice view in and around the guest house. Don't miss the morning walk if you stay here.
The staff is not the friendliest (but I suspect you wouldn't expect any better anyway), the rooms are rather average, and it's pretty pricey. If not for the student pricing, I doubt anyone should choose to lodge here considering you get better quality for cheaper at AirBnBs and other options

Wonderful facility but for middle class student family it's costly so better to stay outside if you bring your family to IIT
Great place to unwind. View of the lake, if you want something smaller, a pond full of fish and tortoises and some ducks and geese. An amphitheatre kind of place having a view of the lake where you can sit and enjoy the sunset and read a book
Good guest house with all necessary facilities. Best for visitors who have 1-2 day work at IITB. Decent breakfast was served complimentary. Gulmohar restaurant near had quite good food quality and taste.
This is a pleasant guest house in Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay. It has an incredible location since it is not only right next to the Powai lake and has direct, unimpeded view and access of the lake; it also has its own small lake, with a group of white ducks. It has good and well maintained rooms, and catering service. While the garden right next to the guesthouse is just awesome. The Guest House is in huge demand though and there is usually an impossibly large waiting to avail its services.
