The only place in Purulia where they'll teach you how to swim. Might be the only place and definitely not worth it. There are many batches. The instructors are only keen to teach kids of the afternoon batch. Some don't even bother to teach even if you ask them. Mens instructors are quite professionals but the woman ones are not. They're stuck on the same styles from all these years, and mind you, there are certain styles which is not going to help you at all even if you're drowning. But they're hell bent on teaching those too because I guess they've to pass the swimmers time. The water get cleaned up once in a week or two, sometimes turn green and the manager don't bother to clean the pool up. The tiles will sometimes give you a nasty scar and good luck if you want to wear a branded swimwear because it can get stuck on the pointy ends of the tiles n there goes your money that you spent on the branded swimwear, talking from experience. Not enough light on the place to brighten up the pool at night. So choose your swimming goggles accordingly. The climbing out of stairs are broken, just one is working fine. There's a small pool for kids. And big one's dimensions are 12.5 meters width and 25 meters lenght. The pool is 7 ft deep on the end and 4 ft on the shallow. Swimming costume, goggles and caps are available for sale too but I'd suggest buy yours from decathlon, better quality, you won't regret it. That's all.

It's the only swimming pool in Purulia... the behaviour of staff is very cordial. Every year in the month of April the swimming session starts and it ends with the month of September.

I am the first registered member of Jaltarang. I have been associated with it since my school days and I am still going there every year. The pool has been well maintained. But the washrooms with showers are less and a chronic problem of water logging in the washrooms is there. The service providers are well behaved.

The only swimming pool in Purulia is Jaltarang. The length is 25 meters and the breadth is 12 meters. It is very neat and clean. The water is neither so cold nor so hot. It is very comfortable in summer's scorching heat

A decent swimming facility. The pool is small but clean. The toilets and other areas are however far less clean and require more attention. Remains closed from the late autumn. Reopens in summer. Accepts one session's subscription at a time.

Shower bath don't use normal' water. that's the bad side . Other wise all good

Cheapest swimming pool of purulia town.. the water of the pool is fine enough.. and the rent is 60/- for one person.. You must visit it at Least once.. just loved it....

Pool is quite big, trainers are not always available and water of the pool is dirty some times. Other than that nice place.
