Undeniably one of the best places in Bardhaman to organise picnic with your buddies. The place is very secure, full of trees and provides water supply and the best part is it offers washroom for both men and women. The area is very big and very peaceful. One day hangout will be best suited at this place. Police protection is also there to keep the picnic excitement into control.Overall its a very decent place to hang out for a day.
Nice place for picnic and get together.... Many separated picnic spots are available here...the environment of this place is very good and peaceful...there is many trres and a big water tank ... Air is fresh and the place is hygienic ..... But there are too many DJ box here by which, noise pollution happend............ .... . Place for cooking and eating are available in every picnic spot....in the fresh air and fresh environment, everyone's mind become fresh and they are able to continue their work with more concentration .... beneath the cooling shades of trees, one can enjoy their day with foods , music , and with complete relaxation............. ..... ....................
Jalkal Park is not actually a Park. It was a Water Treatment plant but it is right now inoperating state. In the past there was many types of water filteration machine and the entire process you could observ and enjoy. But it is now Jalkal Guest House(name - Prantik) and Picnic Spot and it is now undertaking of Barddhaman Municipality. You can book the Guest house for any event and it is best place of marriage function. You can see the huge amount of people rush here for Picnic in the month of January. There are huge open place for picnic. The is full of trees inside and outside the area. The place is very close to NH2.
A wonderful place for family gathering, social gathering and ceremonial gathering. This place is a popular picnic destination for the people of Burdwan during Christmas time and new year. It has good water and toilet facilities as well as rooms are also available. This place is widely spread over few acres and is maintained by Burdwan municipal body. This is also the 1st water supply centre in Burdwan city. The only drawback is lack of security persons in such a big place, for which any unwanted incident/accident might take place during huge public gathering.
