Really a beautiful place to enjoy wild life. If possible try to attend the evening safari then you can enjoy the folk dance at the end of the safari and also the deep dark forest in the evening with lots of beautiful Firefly view throughout the safari. Spotting an animal is totally upon your luck.
Well it was a good experience in JALDAPARA NATIONAL PARK. We have witnessed the beauty of nature there, ( one horned rhinos) elephants and many more animals . Ticket is budget friendly, you can go with your friends and family. You'll have a greater experience there. For full exploration kindly visit my YouTube channel GS things
Don't go to Jaldapara or any National Park in North Bengal until the authorities come to their senses. Just imagine the Maruti Gypsies for safari are all painted white. I suppose they want to scare away all the animals. Come on, we go to see the animals , birds and reptiles. Then again unlike normal safari Gypsies all over India where the seats all face forward so the passengers have at least a 180 degree open view, some bright spark decided to have the seats in row so that the passengers have only a good view of each other. Next, 4 slots of safaris are given each day, each consisting of 1hr 30min of fast movement. In any case, it would seem Jaldapara is almost devoid of wildlife. We only got glimpses of a few peacocks (not even peahens) and few gaurs. We were all the time comparing our experiences of our February trip to Assam and Arunachal - Orang, Nameri, Parker and 3 sectors of Kaziranga (we didn't have time for 4th and 5th sector) and two 3-hour safaris each day.
Luckily we had the glimpse of the unique Rhino! The which Jalda Para is famous for! It looks great from the Watch Tower.. I will go again someday!
Must vist...must wait for your turn and luck for being seen by some beautiful creation of all mighty
Seen a rhino there, though could not take the picture. Along with 6 peacocks, and what's more, one was dancing. It needs a good camera with at least 200mm zoom to shoot here. Best time is in the dusk, and dawn. So be prepared for low light photography, mix with prompt and silent action. Wild bore was also there. While returning, we found elephant and, leopard targetting a samvar in the dark, seen in the headlight of the jeep. Risky situation, as the zungle safary zeep was hoodless, to fecilitate standing. We have also seen a cultural program of local tribes.
Jaldapara jungle is dense and beautiful.Rhinos are abumdant and so are bisons and elephants.Peafowl also densely populate the forest. The rhino watch tower is a great place to spend some time and savour the wildlife
