It is informative, well planned & at the time of starting it was well equipped. But sorry to say nowadays it is not being maintained properly. Every model or original stuffed animals is covered with a thick layer of dust. Body parts of animals are stolen or teared. Very few name boards are kept at right place. There should be a dedicated team who will maintain the museum properly.

Jaldapara Museum is one among the popular forests mesume of Dooars. It is best known for the Jaldapara Museum , which was d a sanctuary in 1943 to protect and preserve the myriad of flora and fauna. This museum is located on the foothills of Eastern Himalayas on the banks of River Torsa in side main gate of the forest.
There are many animals and birds in here, which are well preserved. There is a timeline which depicts when and where these animals were residing.

Nice Homestay at heart of Madarihat..very easy to reach, just opposite Indian Oil petrol pump of madarihat highway crossing..also very near from Jaldapara National Park entry gate.. Room was good,well decorated..a attached balcony with some of rooms.
