Jakkuru Lake - Jakkuru Main Gate - Nature preserve in Bengaluru - Bengaluru Urban, India

Nice place for walking and jogging. Natural mud paths with greenery and lake provides pleasant experience. The drainage water is let to the lake, so water quality is not good. There is small stretch on the north side adjoining STP unit which emits bad odour. Has kids play area and basic washrooms, though not well maintained. Track paths become slippery after rains. But lake provides a breathing space amidst concrete jungle.

Well maintained lake and walking path, i visit 2-3 times a week for morning walk. Path is U shaped, about 3.5 km long, in order to complete the loop one has to step out and walk approx 0.75 km along the promenade; alternatively turn back, for a healthy 7 km walk

Very beautiful place for evening walk. And it's very peaceful place. For photography also u can go there.... So many birds are there in the island of that lake..... I don't know about others who visit there but this place is mostly suitable for family peoples. For boyfriend and girlfriend this place is really not good cause security there is trying to be so much strict about such kind of things... Even holding hands are not allowed... So better you find a new place if u wanna go there for date.

Lake with a perimeter of around 4km. Good view and well maintained. There you can find flora and founa as not much human interference. On Sundays you can see ppl with cameras. You can also find a peacock if observant. Though there is a sewage treatment plant there.

Just Beautiful ! Maybe due to the perfect combination of clouds, sunlight & rain in the optimum quantity. It felt like trance. The walkways are surrounded by good amount of greenery, which makes the experience even better. You can also see some different varieties of birds hovering over the lake. Even when it was continuously raining, it felt enjoyable. The best part was lack of rush, so Serene Sunset was just mesmerising !

Such a lovely place. We went to have a walk / Jog and found this place awesome. They have done an exemplary job of walking track along the edges of the lake. The walking track is laid with soil and is nicely done. The track is even and one can feel good while walking or jogging. We went on a Sunday early in the morning and there were lots of people walking/jogging and some of them were with their cameras looking for migratory birds. On either side of the track, you will find beautiful trees and plants, where some of them are medicinal and some flowering etc. It is definitely a beautiful sight to witness and feel. The only downside is the cleanliness of the lake. It is not at all clean. The respective authorities need to look into this seriously as this may become a breeding ground for mosquitoes.

Best start to start your weekend walk.... amazing view and place makes you want to go awe for the first timers. Photos aren't enough to catch the beauty!!
