Edit: First review written on: 01/01/2019, 12:21 pm Potala Hotel is a no-fuss great hotel. Located in a great location. Just 3-4 mins walk and you'll reach the mall area. This is a vegan hotel. A Jain hotel to be precise. So no meat is cooked or allowed. Keep that in mind. The rooms are great; cozy and beautiful. The bathrooms are well fitted with taps and geyser and all. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The food in their restaurant is quite delicious and wrt the quality and quantity both, the pricetags are reasonable. I won't write much because everything about this hotel is fantastic. Definitely recommended.

Didn't refund money of cancellation even after sa natural disaster took place such is their hunger for money. To the owner and management, hospitality industry is based on customer satisfaction and feedback. Always keep that in mind.

The manager or owner, whoever that person was, he was extremely friendly. Room service was nice. It is a cozy and a soothing place for staying. You'll like the view from the hotel

The hotel is extremely opposite to what is portrayed . we booked a 4 bedded room and the room quality was extremely poor. Soggy rooms, leaking taps, leaking basins, it clearly showed that maintenance of items were not done. Staff is extremely courteous and cooperative, they try to maintain hygiene but replacements is something which authorities need to look into. Even tea cups in which tea was served were heavily stained brown and were not at all in condition of serving.Whoever has owns up the hotel in such a prime location really needs to invest some time to keep basics right.The maintenance of rooms.

Receptionist was polite, but some of the porters and assisting staff were unprofessional in their attitude towards customers. Convenient location. Clean, budget friendly rooms.

from the name of Jain group and nice images of hotel we booked this hotel. but after check-in in this hotel, we are provided two different types of room for one family and with considerable distance between two rooms. Also on bathroom door there fungus and even after complaining these all things to manager, manager didn't respond and told us that do whatever you want to do. worst hotel ever. if you don't want to ruin your trip, never go for this hotel. they showed different pictures of rooms and bathrooms than they have in real.

Average hotel, the rooms aren't good, they don't give you even a single chair and there is only 1 towel provided to you. They ask you to keep the bedsheet clean otherwise they will cost you extra charges. The room allotted to me was on 4th floor and we had to use stairs, we had kids too but the manager didn't give us rooms on ground floor or first floor. The manager is an old man, appoint a new many, he doesn't know how to talk.

The hotel is located within walking distance from M G Road and I stayed here for two nights. The stays are very basic, at a certain level the rooms and toilets were clean but most of the washroom area was leaking. During my two-night stay, I never got hot water for my bath even after putting up the geyser ON. Nobody was there to take the complaint, the manager was too arrogant. The worst part was they used to close the shutter by 9.30 and post that entry outside was not allowed, I mean who does that? If you don't find any other option nearby then you may stay here else there are so many good stay options available within the area.
