Strong points: close to old city and bazars, far back off the main road so traffic noise is not an issue and it feels mainly peaceful and calm compared to the busy streets. Room was large and had a few antique pieces that give it some character. Linens were very clean and fresh. Staff was welcoming overall and helpful when specific requests were made. Copious breakfast buffet and lunch and dinner available if desired. Weak points: we were in room 108 on the ground floor and found it very noisy because two main walkways on either side of the room and close to the restaurant. People's voices resonate on the stone surfaces and furniture was being dragged about in the room above us. We also heard running water and other bathroom sounds coming from rooms either above or next to ours. I had to sleep with ear plugs. Request a room on the upper floors away from the front garden and it would probably be quieter. The calico curtains are quaint but do not do a good job of blocking the light and are also a smidge too narrow to feel that they completely cover the window and give you full privacy. Users of ride apps like Uber beware: there is a Jai Niwas Garden in Jaipur, a public park, quite far from the hotel. Make sure you just put Jai Niwas Hotel into the search to make sure you end up in the right place!

Honestly this was my favourite place throughout my 6 weeks travels with my dad and uncle. I absolutely loved it here, the staff, the breakfast, the hospitality, the cleanliness, the location, this is a place I will return to time and time again. So happy to have found this peaceful spot after a bustling day in Jaipur! Can't wait to return.

Overall, great stay in Jaipur. Rooms were basic but clean and quiet. There is 24h reception with friendly staff and guards. They allowed us to check-in early, at no extra cost, and switched the breakfast from the last day to the first day. The location is close to the main attractions but in a slightly dodgy area - wouldn't recommend walking

Our home away from home in Jaipur!! We love the freshly prepared food, the quiet, the mini green gardens and the cozy aesthetically done rooms. A smaller cousin of the very famous Arya Niwas, i love the home-like feel of Jai Niwas. One can learn a lesson or two in true hospitality from them!

Best budget backpacker's and family stay in jaipur, the interiors is still maintained as the old mansion, though maintaining the room decor properly with paintings and the environment around the place is also just so clam. When you are at this place, don't forget to try their lunch/dinner - can vouch for it definitely is homely food. Though the quantity is not that great, but with the price at which this comes we can't complain much. Great quality and perfect service. Would definitely recommend this one for someone exploring Jaipur and a budget stay.
