Jabarkhet Nature Reserve, Mussorie - Featured Reviews (409)
Beautiful park, well preserved, knowledgable guides, and not crowded. If you're looking for a short hike (1-3 hours) with nice views, come here. So beautiful that I proposed here, with the Himalayas in the background :)
I had the pleasure of visiting Jabarkhet Nature Reserve in Mussoorie during the monsoon season, and it was an enchanting experience. The lush greenery and breathtaking views that surrounded us were nothing short of spectacular. One of the highlights of our visit was the abundance of wildflowers and wild mushrooms that added a touch of magic to the landscape. The vibrant colors of the flowers and the mysterious allure of the mushrooms made every step of our hike truly memorable. The reserve itself was well-maintained, with informative signposts along the trails that enhanced our understanding of the local flora and fauna. The tour guide was friendly and knowledgeable, always ready to answer our questions and share interesting facts about the ecosystem. I highly recommend visiting Jabarkhet Nature Reserve, especially during the monsoon season, for a nature-filled adventure that will leave you in awe of the beauty of Mussoorie's wilderness. One thing to keep in mind when visiting Jabarkhet Nature Reserve during the monsoon season is that the trails can get quite slippery due to the rain. It's essential to be prepared, so I'd recommend carrying rain gear with you. Proper footwear and rain jackets will ensure you can enjoy the hike without any worries about getting wet or slipping on the trails. Despite the slippery paths, the experience is well worth it. The rainy season adds a unique charm to the reserve, with glistening raindrops on leaves and the soothing sound of water flowing in the background. Just be sure to pack accordingly to make the most of your visit!
A very good place to trek. Make sure to take a guide with you otherwise you'll just get lost. They took 350/- per person but didn't provide any guide. It's mentioned in the ticket itself to provide a guide. They will give you their number to call if anyone needs it. But beware, once you enter the trek there is no service. Make sure you're safe and take someone with you if you're visiting for the first time. Keep water and a stick with you.
Wonderful trek with scenic views and an offbeat place. Highly recommended. Do travel with guide to enjoy more.
Jabarkhet shows a great spirit of conservation and helping local ecosystems together. The local guide here was very knowledgeable about history, traditions, birding and ecology. Must visit for a pleasant walk through the various trails and the views from the peak is spectacular
Jabarkhet is a 110 acre nature reserve. Think of it as a beginner level luxury hike - there's benches every few 100 metres, signboards and well marked our trail signs. The guides are fantastic. This is a great option for both your parents in their 50s+ and for you too, especially if you are worried you haven't been keeping your fitness new year resolutions. Seriously though, we saw so much - birds, the mountains, difference between pine and devdhar and even spotted Agave plants. If you're lucky you will spot some animals too.
Very beautiful and well maintained nature reserve. We need more such places in India. We explored just a portion of the reserve with our 5yr old without a guide, but we all still enjoyed it. There's a "hut" in a clearance where there's a toilet facility for trekkers. For something that's so remote, even that is clean and well maintained.
Jabarkhet Nature Reserve is a 110 acres private property about 10km dista from Mall Road of Mussoorie. For trekking in this vast hill there are several trail routes such as Ridge, Leopard & Mushroom trail etc. The hike is 300 m elevation from 1950m to 2250 m & Total 3km trek/hike. It's a splendid experience. No crowds at all. Not a commercial spot. One can take a guide along with. If the sky is clear you would get the spectacular views of Himalayan Peaks! Remember to carry enough water & food stuff along with to you as nothing is available inside the Nature Reserve. Carrying basic first aid kit is preferable. This is most exciting hike/ trek in Mussoorie. Hence next time you visit Mussoorie, do explore Jabarkhet Nature Reserve Trek without missing!

Delicious pizza and pasta, if your a foreigner travelling India, this place will be a treat, from eating all that spicy Indian food. I took some locals here and thought the food was amazing.
This place offers two best things. View and Pizza. I can go to musoorie especially for their pizza. To me, their pizza sauce felt less about spices and more about herbs. It is not bland and yet you won't feel a single spice on your pallet. Crust is t
