Jaagar The Spirit of Corbett - Resort hotel in Peerumadara - Nainital, India

If u are looking for a place close to nature with the comfort of your own home then Jaagar is definitely the place to be. Rooms are clean and comfortable and the service is excellent. A very quiet and tranquil place away from the city noise and pollution. To top it all of the good is also good. The chef personally came up to us to ask what are our requirements and liking and prepared food accordingly. I would recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a quite vacation and wants to be connected to nature. Me and my family have become certainly become loyal customers of this place and would not think of any other place if we come to cornet again in the future.

Update - based on 25 December 2021 visit. Stayed 3 nights. The warmth of the staff helps keep the chill away. Great bonfires. They keep it going till you want it to be. Food was great and remains so even. Visited with friends and toddlers. Ever helpful for any needs with kids. Property now has lush green vegetation. Well maintained. Best for group stays as you have the entire property to you without having to bother about other unknown guests. Staff was amazing with their hospitality with new food items every day. One those places where you keep going back again. And, again. --- Good place for break from hectic schedule. Though not located in the main Corbett corridor /sector this makes up with its vast campus with walking trails and walk in the buffer zone. The property is well kept with fruit trees and flower plants available in abundance. Rooms are spacious. Bathroom also well kept. Food is what you get home and you can let the chef know what you want to have and they will get it done. Good for people /groups who have kids.

A wonderful experience. A total of eight cottages spread in nearly seven acres of land with a litchi farm, a small swimming pool , mango trees, Jack fruit tree and forest walks along the resort, this is one of the best resorts in the Corbett area. You wake up to the sounds of the chirping birds and the song of the cuckoo and go to sleep hearing the rustling of the treesThe staff is very helpful and friendly and the manager Mr Anoop Bisht merits a special mention. The resort chef can be trusted to satisfy you with the menu of your choice though the Kumaoni Raita, Kumaoni aaloo and mutton are highly recommended. The tandoori paneer and paratha are great too. Cant wait to be back.

Amazing place to stay. Gives you a feel of one's own farm house. Only 8 cottages for 6 acre plus property. Lots of green, right next to corbett wall. Really amazing food consistently throughout our stay. Rooms can be improved a bit and it can easily become a luxury stay, but I am nitpicking now. Anyone coming to corbett should not look at anything else.

Absolutely loved the experience of staying at Jaagar. There was a lot of space (in the rooms, and outside for our puppy to run around in), beautiful surroundings and the peace of being close to nature. We gorged on lychees and other fruits harvested on the property, chilled in the pool and had a wonderful weekend. Should definitely recommend this place for a quick getaway from Delhi.

Lovely place ! Manager Anup Bisht is great concierge, manager and source of information. Muddy and pebbled walks, cottage styled rooms, lush foliage and a deep forest right across the road. What else can you ask for ? Food is good and staff is very friendly. The rooms are really spacious and comfortable.

We Three friends stayed at Jaagar between 23rd and 25th December. We had one of the most awesome time at Jaagar during those 2 days Day 1. We were greeted in a simple but elegant manner. The rooms were simple with village cum modern amenities available and suited our needs. Within half hour we were offered Tea and snack which looked delicious served in nice cutlery. We had our own plans to visit surrounding areas and on return in evening our snack ordered in advance were delivered to our room sharp as requested. The room service was awesome as they left no thing unturned to take care of all our needs and requests. There was a bon-fire near the Dining Room in a garden where we spent some time soaking the heat on a chilly night. Dinner everyday was sumptuous and the spread was amazing the two nights we spent. We couldn't choose what to eat and what not. We could easily mix and match and have a nice meal as per our needs. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. Next to the resort ran one of the oldest railway lines. Occasionally at night we could hear the engine roaring away at a far distance and it would give us that holiday feeling like young days with family. Day 2. We had to leave for trip around Corbett outskirts and Jaagar graciously sent us the breakfast spread to our rooms. We couldn't think of a better nutritious meal. On return we were again given room service in the most efficient and professional way. We got a bit late as we decided to chill out in our room to celebrate Christmas. The Dinner spread was huge and taste as delicious as yesterday. Day 3. We had morning safari and Jaagar offered us a morning snack along with our jeep. On return we were given ample time to refresh and then we had our breakfast. Spent some more time moving around the large estate and finally took lots of pictures inside Jaagar. The day ended with the bee breeding and honey manufacturing facility. Thanks to Mr Anoop Bisht , the manager and facilitator for an excellent service. He also gave us a lot of guidance and knowledge of the habitat and history of the region. He also helped us in arranging a guide who helped us explore region on Day 2. Thanks to Jaagar Team for a wonderful experience.

A beautiful place set in a massive litchi and mango orchard. The food is amazing and fresh picked right from their own kitchen gardens. It's borders the forest so you can walk in the jungle which you can't do inside the main wildlife park. Also bought some delicious honey that these guys extract from their apiary.
