IRCTC Executive Lounge - A Disappointing Experience My recent visit to the IRCTC Executive Lounge left much to be desired, marred by a series of concerning issues that need urgent attention. Unpleasant Staff Behavior: The staff exhibited a lack of cordiality, with an attitude that was far from welcoming. This aspect of the service significantly detracted from the overall experience. Unclean Glasses: Hygiene standards fell short, particularly concerning the cleanliness of the glassware. It was disheartening to find glasses that did not meet basic hygiene expectations. Subpar Infrastructure and Maintenance: The lounge's infrastructure was disappointing, reflecting poor maintenance standards. The sitting area was dirty, with paint peeling off the walls, creating an atmosphere that was far from conducive to a comfortable experience. Unpleasant Washroom Conditions: The washroom facilities were deplorable, reminiscent of a roadside toilet. This critical aspect of the lounge's amenities needs urgent attention to ensure a basic level of cleanliness and hygiene. Saving Grace - Good Food: Amidst the multitude of disappointments, the one saving grace was the quality of the food. The culinary offerings stood out as a positive aspect, providing a silver lining to an otherwise dismal experience. Call for Improvement: It is disheartening to witness such a stark contrast between the positive and negative aspects of the IRCTC Executive Lounge. Urgent measures are required to address the infrastructure, staff behavior, and hygiene standards to bring this facility up to par with the expectations of travelers. Recommendation to IRCTC: It is strongly recommended that IRCTC takes immediate corrective actions. This includes not only addressing the physical infrastructure but also implementing staff training programs to ensure a welcoming and customer-centric environment. The reputation of the lounge is at stake, and swift measures are imperative to regain customer trust. In Summary: The IRCTC Executive Lounge, in its current state, falls far below acceptable standards. Overall good, you can have peaceful ambiance here if less traffic than, They charged me around 120 for 1 hour sitting. I haven't tried food here but it seems good.

The place is decent . The sitting area is spacious but not up to mark considering the sofa cleanliness and wall fittings. The food was 6.5/10 . Overall good area to wait for some time. The washroom was clean and ambiance was good.

Pathetic and hopeless place managed by arrogant and illiterate staff. The sitting area is dirty, the paint is coming out from walls, washroom is as pathetic as a roadside toilet. Thank god they prepare good food and thats only positive thing. Irctc should stop earning money from this pathetic place and should kick off the mannerless staff.

Visited on 12/06/2023 60Rs per hour per person. Free for some credit card users. But for those who pay 60 Rs it's not worth.. They pay 60Rs just to sit n relax in an air conditioning room on sofa. Toilets are not that greatly cleaned at the level. Limited seats,so it gets full sometimes as the weather in Ahmedabad is hot amd humid

Positives are - charges on hourly basis 56 rs. Per hour.I had breakfast buffet here that was very tasty. Negatives are- not clean, only one bathroom is here to bath in ladies washroom. That is very small area too. Overall Not so good experience.

If you need to wait at railway station for few hours, this could be one of the place that you can select.They charge Rs56/hr meaning that you are likely to have surrounded by good middle class and educated people. This AC waiting room/lounge is having good sofa cum chair for sitting and decent toilets/bathroom to get fresh-up. Moreover they also have recliner chair room for which charges are Rs112/hr. They also have restaurant wherein you can order your desired food. In morning hours they have breakfast combo of Rs156 in which you will get pauha, upma, idli, puri bhaji and tea/coffee. Personally I found this place convenient as there was peace, good air conditioning and good people with manners and etiquette which you will not find in standard waiting room/ac waiting room.
