Irachil Para Water Falls - Tourist attraction in Marayoor - Idukki, India

A very nice waterfall (pls try to visit in rainy season) to enjoy the nature and it's canvas.The shower is so good and most of the tourists are taking a bath also. The road to the waterfalls is narrow and there is little parking space near the waterfalls.Try to walk 500 metres after parking your car.

This is a must-see waterfall when visiting Munnar. It is quite difficult to turn vehicles there. It is very safe to go down to the waterfall and walk behind the waterfall. Be careful not to slip on the rock.

A beautiful waterfall near the road. When I visited the place was crowded with very little parking space and hence congested. I liked it because of the gentleness of water flow from a steep mountain. Many people enjoyed taking bath and it is safe also even for children. The sound of water flow is cool and we can take nice pictures with people in front, unlike other water falls.

Beautiful waterfall. It is a very low key experience, so don't come here expecting anything fancy. Don't visit here unless it is the monsoon season. Otherwise the falls will run dry and not be as enjoyable.

Wonderful place. But road is too worst and very slope. I would suggest to come in off road jeeps or some cars who have good ground clearence. Make sure you come with family , friends or in groups.

About Irachil Para waterfalls is located at Kovilkadavu, on the way to Kanthalloor from Marayoor in Idukki district of Kerala. Water dropping from a height of about 300 meters without much force. It will gives you the same experience of getting a good rain shower. The whole scene resembles a movie set. It is located upstream of Thoovanam falls. The fresh natural vibe present makes your mind relaxed. To reach there, take the immediate left after Kovilkkadavu check post on the way to Kanthalloor. Travel for around 4kms then you'll reach the destination. Park the car on the side of the road and enjoy the waterfalls. This is a must go place if you are visiting Munnar or Kanthalloor.
