The Department of Pediatrics, Government Medical College, Kozhikode was established in the year 1965 and moved to the Institute of Maternal and Child Health in the year 1975. The department is one of the largest facilities devoted to the care of sick children in this part of the world and in fact, the Institute conducts about sixteen to eighteen thousand deliveries annually. Sick children are referred from the six Northern districts of Kerala and from the neighbouring states as well. Research is high on the agenda & there is also an abundance of clinical material. The spadework for laying a firm foundation was carried out by stalwarts including Dr. NM Mathai, Dr. KC Rajagopalan and Dr. MK Sainaba. Our eminent faculty members are involved in various social and organizational activities for provision of optimal curative, promotive and palliative child health care
Good hospitality. Neat and clean surroundings. Good care. Token system. Only drawback I find is, there won't be any privacy during the checkup and delivery. Overall, I do recommend it.
