I actually visited for fast-food there. Locally the place is called as "Chaupatti", it's a heaven-ish place for fast-food lovers. Chaat, Pani-puri, Sandwiches, Dosas n Idlis and what not! Visit once, and you shall long to visit again. 5pm onwards is the best time, in my opinion.
Right now this place is mostly closed on all days. Earlier they used to host plays and entertainment shows, drama. However now the place is closed. You have nearby it that serves good chat and snacks if you are hungry.
Famous for it's chaupaty, IGSK is a best place to hang out with friends.
It used to be good. But political leaders and others have screwed everything over period of time and we don't have any indoor theatre now. Really shameful.

Great place as it has "Sarwajanik Ganpati " during Ganesh Chaturthi, and other functions on occasions, but importantly it has everyday food stalls.
Drama theatre in chiplun but not opened yet.Renovation complete but due to heavy flood i August 21 last year closed
