Updates for Public: Planetarium is closed for public for approx 2-3 months due to maintenance . So don't plan to visit this place

Ticket is Rs25 per head. Parking Rs10. Shows runtime is 45 mins starting at 1pm, 2pm, 3pm and 4pm. However the many projectors are not working well, so the show becomes mostly audio and no visuals. Should be repaired. Otherwise nice setup and overall great place to explore space. Its basically a museum which contains prototype of satellites,radio ,tv, information reagrding universe especially our solar system and various space missions of india. They also show a 45 min movie which enhance our knowledge regarding space and various elements of it i.e coments ,sun ,galaxy. A must visit place for a person who is intrested in science or space. Proper equipment is not working over there so poor image quality. Don't waste your time to visit over there it is one of the government project so only not getting proper service of equipment. When I ask for ticket counter person said minimum 15 person should come to watch the show. if 15 person will be not there then we will not start the show. 10-15 person came then they allowed us for ticket. people are not coming over there because quality is not maintaining by the team they are not using mask but they are selling the mass from window and telling that without mask entries not there.

This place is just not worth it. The entry is only at 1pm, 2:10 pm, 3:20 pm and 4:30 pm. If you reach in between, you cannot enter. There is a 45 min show each. But projectors do not work at all. So there is only sound. All the models are there in a single small room. With just 6 models. Simply a waste of time. Science Center and zoo are far better. The staff is also not polite. Entry cost is Rs 25. Parking is Rs 10.

Pros- Right on a main road, so you don't have to go looking for it. Nice staff. Great aesthetics. The saturn shaped building is interesting architecture. The fee for Indians is 25Rs per person. The skydome is cool and once the show starts, it almost feels like looking up at the night sky and seeing stars. The tech is nice. Cons- Only the first show of the day is in English. (If you're familiar with words like saurmandal, urjakumbh, akashganga- good for you. If not, get ready to learn new words!!) The place has seen better days. It's not that well maintained. The crowd is mostly composed of people with pre-teen kids. These kids don't like dark so much, so their parents keep flashing their mobile phones right onto the screen. Bonus- I am pretty sure the projector kept crashing inbetween the slides, but when I asked the personnel, they were clueless. I guess it has been going on for so long that that's the way they remember it now. The audio and visuals weren't in proper sync, and animation was way off. The content presentation could be way better. They literally end the show on the big bang theory. That's not the end, that is the beginning of any show!

The show was fine It should be updated One more thing i want to add Police there don't let people go inside the picture gallery untill the show going to start In my case they let me enter at 3:50 while my show timing was 4:00 As i am a student In ten minutes how i can scan the whole picture gallery and understand the nuances of the astronomy Hope administration will take cognizance of it.

Nice place , but lot of improvement needed. Need renovation and updation. They are showing same show which they were playing so many years back also. Video and audio quality also become so old. If you are free and for children time pass you can go otherwise nothing entertaining there , neither much knowledgeable thing there
