Indian Coffee House - Featured Reviews (3718)
Old school Bangalore cafe with affordable menu. There are limited food options but everything tastes just as delicious. Service is fast and they used to accept cash only before but now UPI payment is accepted too. Hygiene needs to be improved...alot. Dishes should be cleaned and dried properly. I always have Scrambled eggs in every visit and it is highly recommended. Also try Coffee, mutton cutlet and Bread butter jam.
Stepping into the Indian Coffee House on Church Street in Bangalore is like taking a delightful trip down memory lane. The cafe's old-fashioned setup exudes a charm that's hard to come by in today's modern eateries. The ambiance, reminiscent of a bygone era, instantly invokes a sense of nostalgia. The waiters, dressed in their traditional uniforms that are iconic across various Indian cities, add to the authentic experience. The Indian Coffee House manages to capture the essence of its past while maintaining the quality and taste of its offerings. The cutlet is a true blast from the past, carrying the same flavors that delighted taste buds in the 90s. It's heartening to know that even as times change, some things remain wonderfully constant. The relocation of the M G Road branch to the adjacent street seems to have preserved the essence of its predecessor. The Masala Dose is another gem on their menu, delivering the same satisfying taste that has delighted generations. And let's not forget the crown jewel - the coffee. Indian Coffee House has mastered the art of brewing that perfect cup of coffee that has left its patrons craving for more over the years. However, it's perplexing to see that the management of Indian Coffee House hasn't fully tapped into its immense potential. The authenticity and nostalgia this place offers could undoubtedly be capitalized upon with strategic marketing efforts. One glaring concern is the cleanliness of the hand wash and kitchen areas. In a time when hygiene is paramount, these areas should be maintained meticulously to ensure the safety and comfort of the customers. A little attention to these aspects would go a long way in enhancing the overall experience. Another area that deserves attention is the payment methods. In an era dominated by digital transactions, it's surprising that Indian Coffee House only accepts cash. The inclusion of options like UPI, credit cards, and debit cards would undoubtedly make transactions smoother and more convenient for customers. In conclusion, the Indian Coffee House on Church Street in Bangalore is a true haven for those seeking a nostalgic culinary experience. The flavors that transport you to the 90s, the traditional uniforms, and the heartwarming ambiance all contribute to an unforgettable visit. While there's room for improvement in certain areas like hygiene maintenance and payment options, the overall experience remains a testament to the beauty of preserving tradition in a rapidly evolving world
The vibe of old Bangalore can been seen and relished in this place. The place is too busy on Sunday and the crowd are busy eating and chatting which looks amazing. Wide variety of menu of veg and non veg. The old tables and old paints and the waiter with old costumes are a vibe. Must try vegetable cutlet, omelette with tomatoes and toast. Price is so reasonable and service is too good. Washroom and Handwash area is not clean and need lot of cleaning and hygiene here. Visit this place for old vibe of Bangalore.
Been to this place for breakfast with friends. It is a very old restaurant. If you want to have English breakfast then you can visit this place. The scrambled egg and cutlet tasted good. What i felt is they need to maintain more hygiene. The spoons were not properly cleaned. The coffee mugs were not clean. Hence we decided that this would be the last visit to this restaurant.
One of the oldest branch of Indian Coffee House in Bangalore. They serve coffee, masala dosa, mutton cutlet and many more. I like the old place how it's been there for a long time. The waiters wear turbans which shows that they never forget their own roots. It's a nice place to eat and a budget friendly place. I like how people still come to that place to have a nice food over there.
A time-machine experience with the atmosphere of a pakka middle class cafe from the 1960's / 70s including servers with turbans! Down-to-earth ambience, economically priced and a place to relish time with family / friends. Must visit spot in Bangalore.
This place gives nostalgic vibes. You feel like you are time travelling to 60s when you enter this place. The staffs and their old style uniform is something interesting to see. I visited this outlet after ages and ordered coffee. To my surprise, the place which is popular for their coffee serves one of the worst coffee. After trying a bad coffee first in the morning, didn't feel like having anything from their food menu. They seriously need to check on the quality part.
This place carries the old charm of Bangalore. I always love to come back to this place for the service by generous staff who have been working in this place for ages. Loved the scrambled eggs with toast, the mutton cutlet was just okay.
