Indian Coffee House - South Indian restaurant in Kannur - Kannur, India

i couldn't find any other hotel that day. Saw the board and came here. Food was good.

The Indian Coffee House is a true culinary delight. Their food is a delightful blend of traditional Indian flavors

They have two sections here. In ground floor they serve vegetarian food and it's good. On the first floor they serve non vegetarian. It's neat and hygiene, the meals they serve is really good and other chicken dishes too but the biryani in here isn't that good it's not my preferred biryani but others may find it good. I won't say it's horrible but it's lacking basic biryani taste, they don't have an idea about what a biryani should be. It's lacking flavours the masala is nowhere near to a proper Malabar biryani. There are aot of restaurants serves better biryani in Kannur. Maybe it's their style. So no complaints. I found some people prefer this biryani over others. It can be better they thinks a fried chicken piece with some masala and rice is a biryani. Thier other offerings are good and satisfactory.

It's very good place to have food for anytime like breakfast, brunch, Lunch, evening snacks, Dinner. All type of food items are available. And this is the only Coffe House in Kannur which serves non-veg cuisines. Actually both veg & non-veg section is separate in different floors so that both would not be get upset. Cuisines are very tasty and less expensive compared to other restaurants. Lunch here is very famous and if you are going for it then you have to wait for a long, because of the queue.

Morning breakfast , cutlet Its a must order item from coffee houses. Cutlet and the sauce along with will satisfy your appetite.. Veg section is in ground floor and Non veg is in first floor. The restaurant is kept clean, Since its an old building I feel they should do some renovation.

Where ever I go in Kerala always looks for coffee house. Eating rice and masala dosa from coffee house have something special feeling This time i didn't like chicken chili, some pieces where not Cooked well

Vada not fried properly when visited one morning. Taste of idili also not very good.

Non Vegetarian at First Floor and Vegetarian available on Ground floor. Recently had some improvements in Interior and exterior. Parking is a task here, two wheelers can manage
