Mi-8 Helicopter which is 45years old aircraft used in war. Recommended place to visit

A de-commissioned Russian made Mi-8 Helicopter of the Indian Air Force (IAF) was installed in the Mermaid Park in Shangumugham Beach of the Capital City of Thiruvananthapuram in 2020. Placed on top of an artificially created mount, it looks majestic and has become a great attraction among children and youngsters. Large number of visitors to the beach come near the Helicopter for taking photographs. It is primarily meant to motivate the Youth to join the IAF.
