Independence Day Park Children Play Area - Park in Chennai - Chennai, India

Though the park looks pretty well from outside and also helpful to many kids and families it is one of the worst maintained park. Full of mosquitoes and waste. No one maintains it properly or takes the responsibility. It spreads viral diseases and fever due to its heavy density of mosquitoes. You can't even stand for 10 secs at one place in the entire park. I would like to take this to concern people for action. Please recommend me if you know anyone or if you have any opportunity to take this case up. Thank you all

For the past two days I have been crossing this park, that yesterday I decided to stop and explore the park. A small round park that takes about 20mts to round the whole premises. Starting with lush greenery, you would find a board where each day one Thirukural plus it's meaning is shared. As you start walking towards the right you see lot of pathways, walkers path, jogger's path, seaters and children park. In the center is a pillar devoted to Ashoka Chakram. As you come out you notice a board saying no pets allowed and no cycling inside the park premises. Outside is a lady who serves food almost all through the day. Coming diagonally opposite to Tank bund road and Lake area there is a small Sri Karumariamman temple opposite to the park. This park road leads to Zone 9 corporation center.

Now it famously known as Lovers adda... illegal things happening and college students both boys and college doing nonsense thing's...CC cameras need to build

Good place to hang around. We can spend approximately 40 minutes. Lot of mosquitos. Bats are hanging in the tree . Need to maintain cleanly. No car parking facility.

Very beautiful park and visit this place for early morning walk from my hotel B town.

The children park is well maintained with ample space for physical activities. However, it prohibits cycles and pets. The diligent workers constantly clean the park, ensuring a pleasant environment for kids to play and have fun.

It's a nice park with lots of trees around. It has round pavements to walk around in two different diameters. It has got restroom facility. It has a play-space for children.

Good place to relax and walk. Yoga classes conducted.
