We stayed at Hotel Vivaanta located just nearby and read Chapters 10, 11 and 12 from Shrimad Bagvad Gita at this holiest place exactly where Lord Krishna delivered Shrimad Bhagvad Gita to Arjuna and where Lord Krishna gave Vishwaroop darshan to Arjuna. One should not miss "mesmerising" Light and Sound with commentary show ( cost only Rs 30 ) which starts at 6 pm and lasts for 1 hour. The irony is that this historical and holy place and the light and sound show event there is poorly advertised and many people just remember this place of kurukshetra as location of Mahabharata war.
Good environment. But now there will not be such feeling that Mahabharata war was held here. Now there is only handmade temples which have become..
Watch monkeys dive into water.
Peaceful vibes around where people explain about the story behind the place.
Holy place linked to Maharashtra. It is in Jyotisar Village of Kurukshetra District.
Jyotisar- Kurukshetra, Haryana: The place where the Lord Krishna is believed to have preached the Hindu Vedantic concept of Dharma to Arjuna before the greatest Mahabharata battle between the two mighty armies of Pandavas and Kauravas in the ancient and Vedantic era of Mahabharata at Jyotisar, Kurukshetra in Haryana state of India. The five thousand years' old banyan tree stands as testimony to this holy preaching of the Lord at this place.
The tree where Gita was told by Krishna
Birthplace of Gita..Where Lord Krishna gives "Updesh of Gita" At the time of Mahabhartha war in Kurukshetra
It's really a wonderful experience to visit this historic place...
Going to be huge but still a lot of construction pending. It will take time but still you can see the extravagant construction.
I feel sad because the main temple which is Heritage and is getting overshadowed by this. Govt should promote the old tem
The sacred place Jyotisar is the birth place of BhagwadGita. It is believed that Mahabharata battle started from Jyotisar, where on the eve of the battle deluded Arjuna received the eternal message of Gita from its propounder Lord Krishna. Very holy,
It is a very peaceful place. The light and sound show in the evening is a visual treat and enlightening. It is a very beautiful show and is also mesmerizing. Must visit for the light and sound show
