Illimala Bridge - Bridge in Parumala - Pathanamthitta, India

Illimala Bridge is one of the major bridge and landmark of Pandanad and parumala. The bridge literally connects two districts. Illimala Bridge's roadsides are planted with flowering plants which make the bridge beautiful. It also shorten the distance of parumala to chengannur. During the flood time also, this bridge helped many people to escape from the flood affected areas.

Famous Christian Pilgrimage place, Also good place to source Brass, Copper Large and small kitchen & catering vessels. Nice small town.

I don't know what I should write about a bridge . Anyway i live nearby and I might have used this bridge more than a thousand times. View of Pampa river from this bridge is nice, but nowadays river is shrinking and water is not that good. But still It is amazing to watch river flowing full - during Monsoon /rainy season.

Good view from the top of the bridge during sunrise and sunset. Definitely not a place to hangout or swim. Must go place if you are into photography and stuff..

During the flood period these bridge construction help a lot of people to save their vehicles from flood.Its a good landmark at pandanad area.
