Illam Heritage - Hotel in Ernakulam - Ernakulam, India

I had an excellent stay at Illam Heritage! The staff was incredibly hospitable and went above and beyond to ensure that all of my needs were met. From check-in to check-out, I was impressed by their level of service and attention to detail. The ambience of the hotel is truly outstanding. The traditional architecture and decor transport you to another time and place, and it's clear that a lot of thought has gone into creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. One thing that really stood out to me was how clean the hotel was. Every corner was spotless, and it was clear that the staff takes great pride in maintaining the highest standards of hygiene and cleanliness. Overall, I would highly recommend Illam Heritage to anyone looking for a comfortable and welcoming stay in a beautiful and historic setting. The hotel exceeded my expectations in every way, and I look forward to returning in the future.

Very nicely maintained property.. located in central location of the city. Very near to marine drive. feels like rich heritage home as its name suggests. Old ancient home converted into hotel. Nice supportive staff. Hot water supply whenever needed. Faced little issue of mosquitos. But, resolved with repellent and AC. Had puri bhaji in complementary breakfast. Lot of restaurants nearby. Thank you for hosting us. . Would like to visit again.

Great place with helpful staff and comfortable rooms. Old-style design is cool considering you don't see such architecture anymore. Food was great and the dining area is a highlight; its smaller and the food is self-serve and the atmosphere is much closer to that of a home than that of a hotel.

Booked a room for three in order to stay for an enrolment function at the High Court. The hotel itself is located right next to Kacheripady Junction, and it's very easy to get to the High Court - one can either take a bus, or hire a rickshaw. Apart from that, the hotel had good facilities - the whole building is designed like a traditional 'Tharavad' type family home (in fact, I think it is an old building that was remodelled to serve the purpose of a hotel). For instance, lights are shaped like olds lanterns, the walls and ceilings are wooden, and there's plenty of architectural designs that reminisces the traditional feel of old houses in Kerala. Although, one tiny flaw which I recall was that some lights were dull and not bright enough, because of the antique design of the latern. But apart from that, the place was very neat, and comfortable for a day's stay. The breakfast is self-served in a small kitchen, but it was delicious. Overall, go for it if you want to spend time in a tradition-themed hotel where the look and feel reminds you of homes of an era gone by.

I prefer this as my second home as I use to stay everymonth minimum 3days. Excellent ambience with out standing behaviour of staffs and yes homely food. 100% safe for couples and family.
