Located at the heart of the campus of Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur (IITKGP).Tech Club provides a unique opportunity to make them forget their homesickness by hosting various events throughout the year where colleagues and their families mingle with each other and cherish together. This institution is the direct descendant from CPWD Staff club. CPWD construction staff established it when they were camping here and llT infrastructure was being built. IIT Staff Club membership no 2 and 1 belonged to Lt. Jyotibrata Ray and Lt. Prof. Parimal Sen . The wonderfully rich library of Bengali, English and Hindi books since 1952 is non- functional since long. Lt. Prof. B R Sen had donated a large no of his personal books to this library. Later it was enriched by a portion of the personal library from ex-Director Lt Prof. S R Sengupta. A formal attempt in reorganising and calogueing its content was carried out by Lt. Prof. Dhananjoy Sen in early 70s. So far about the history. Presently the TT, Carrom and Card tables in the club are somewhat populated but the outdoor games need need to be revived.
