We visited here at 6pm in the evening, they had opened after the afternoon break. So they didn't have much options like kappa fish n kappa beaf (kappa- tapioca). The staff, service and ambience is great. Located on Stadium Bypass Road. Spacious seating, separate feeding rooms fr mothers etc, neatly maintained. Haven't tried their main course, hence not sure of the quality and quantity
Today I had a bad experience here, as I have orderd a juice very right moment we entered the property and after that we received the food and yet didn't receive the juice and we asked for that and they replied as 'Aarkariya',(Who knows). As we didn't get much comfort with that, we cancelled the juice and orderd a bottle of soft drink and we also didn't receive that too till we payed the bill. Such a worst customer service experience.
A decent place to have kerala style thani nadan dishes at affordable price. Their kappa and mathi mulakittath was so damn good. A must try. Beef was chewy. Their main dish chatti chor was average. The ambience at the place is good. The staffs are good. However they could be more professional. Would definitely recommend.
We had 'chattichorru' and 'Chicken pepper soup' (I'm not sure of the correct soup name anyway). The soup was the worst soup I ever had. It tasted like some curry with curry leaves and all. 'Chattichorru' was average veg curry was nice but beef gravy wasn't good, and that wasn't worth 200 Rs. The ambience was nice, Service quality needs to be improved.
Small place but amazing food. Tired their pothi biriyani and regular biriyani chicken and beef, they were so good. Loved their idiyappam, appam, and their special chatti chicken curry, comes boiling. Wonderful. Their coffee, their green apple mojito, all are good.
Poor quality and wrong food. Ordered palappam & veg kurma and kappa & mathi mulakittahu. Got fermented pathiri like thing with a sweetish curry, and small ayala (mackerel) instead of mathi (sardine), which was not fresh also. When I complained, they said sorry, chef made a mistake! Kappa was just ok. We went here thinking it's a sister concern of Idam at Kochi. It looks like they used the same name to attract customers. Terribly disappointed.
Very bad bad Experience. Bad service The rate of prawnd biriyani was very much high with low quality & the kudukku Biriyani's chicken piece was very small Even when we complain about it, they have no response. Very bad I will never suggest this hotel to anyone.
Pros Food was of better quality. Traditional foods of Kerala are served here. Easily accessible, heart of city. Restaurant - by Group of Arabian Grills, which has numerous branches inside and outside the district - trustworthy service since years. Cons Arabian grill and Idam restaurant share the same kitchen. Therefore after ordering I had to wait for min 35mins , also for other customers. Comparing Portion and Rate - some Disparity is noted. Portion could be improved for dry as well as gravy dishes.

Nice oonu @Rs50, its not about the price, we could have oonu for lesser price too in pkd, but the taste is what matters. Its seems like old shop, so many aged people comes here at noon, small chitchats of familiar faces. Was good experience
it was my first and only time try at this restaurant. But i can assure you that im very impressed. The food the quality and taste are excellent. I haven't tried all the dishes,but their special biriyani and some other varieties also was pretty good.
