Ichchapuram - Train station in Ichchapuram - Srikakulam, India

Ichapuram (IPM )the last station of Northern AP , which comes under Khurda Zone at present, and the next nearest Big station is Berhampur (BAM) which is in Odisha. Almost 15 trains halt in this small town which consists of 2 platforms at present . For Tourist About IPM :- IPM is famous for Peerlakonda which comes on every Thursday of November month (Margaseera masa according to saka calander) especially the 2nd and 3rd Thursdays of the month are very famous. Thousand of pilgrims visit the holy mosque at the hill . The evening scenary of Peerlakonda is really a cherry to a cake. Second famous festival here is every 8-9 years famous swetchVati sambaralu takes place which happens in b/w April to May month. This festival celebrates for a month majestically and grandly , each and every corner of street are decorated and puja will be done. This year in 2023 April the festival will commence after again 9 years. It's really a great piece of land to witness such scenes do visit our town with family. Coming to station , it's a small station , with good seating seats , fans, lights , waiting hall and 2 platforms . The main problem i noticed is that the development of station when i was child was the same as of now only the lights of IPM in three language has changed in the entrance, others are same. Increase the space, improve the platform no 2 , sanitation is not good and cleaning also not upto the mark . The extension of 3rd Nd 4th platforms are still in pending, all may possible if IPM comes under vizag zone then more number of trains will halt and development of station will also be seen . Station has improved a lot. A new platform is being constructed presently. The station is wheel chair accessible. There is plenty of parking space. Small platform but only one of them is well maintained. Hardly any food stalls or hawkers here. However transport facility is good once u disembark from the platform. You can find auto-rickshaws here

This is the last (or first) station of Andhra. It's border town. Ichchapuram station is also big stop many trains haulta here and are passing through here from Visakhapatnam to Bhubaneswar or puri. Trains also enroute to Bengal jalpaiguri, howrah are passing here. Though station is small it's good

Being situated in Odisha-Andhra boarder, very important railway station of this region. It's beautiful.

It is a nice developing city , food clothing, necessary deeds, student needs, glossary, etc are available. A restroom complex needed.
