It's a serene and well organised botanical park with wonderfully paved pathways, gazebo shelters, benches, dustbins, landscaping, viewpoint, arched causeways. It's part of a sacred jungle and one can listen to the soothing sounds of nature. It's a great place to meditate. Another proud feather in Jowai and Jantia hills.
Great place to be with family and friends. In fact, one of the best tourist attractions that i found, and fortunately it's still pretty much hidden from the commercial world and tourists from other states. Somewhere I'm feeling pretty bad reviewing this place as it's still pretty much unexplored. Coming back to the place, vast greenery, sorrounded by rivers, ample space for children to play, horse riding, cycling and many more activities. Even grills and other stuff also available there at rent. Overall, it's a perfect place for a great time.
Came to know about it from Google maps. Had a great experience amidist trees and clouds. You can hear birds chirping all the way through your walk and feel the cool breeze. The only problem is that it is situated away from the NH and is connected via a small route which is not shown in the map accurately. Otherwise it was awesome.
This place is alluring not only that it offers a peaceful environment it also soothes the soul and have a healing effect as it is surrounded and enfolded in sunny spots of greenery and the beautiful masterpiece of Nature.
Great place to hang out with friends family or couple.. till then it's a safe place with all the greeneries and side view point toward the plain belt river .. have seen some beautiful birds in some seasons.. one guess house nearby.. if you go down towards the end of the road towards the river it's a great spot for picnic and chill out of the river.
The Ialong Park, about 10 kms from Jowai, is a hidden gem, often left out from plans made to the state of Meghalaya, and something you shouldn't miss. If you're planning to visit Meghalaya for a longer period, the Ialong Park is where you need to be to unwind and relax from the overwhelming views and treks during your trip. The view of the Myndtu river and valley is lush green and a tonic for tired eyes. The state government has taken initiatives to make the Park more environmentally relevant. Leisurely activities like fishing and walks are a great way to relax and take in the natural landscape of Meghalaya.
Very small park...however beautiful landscape.... Playing area was not maintained.. lots of improvement needed... If you have free time then you can spend few mins here... Peaceful place.. But if you are looking for something extraordinary then you can avoid this place.
The best one can prefer to visit specially with your family... I enjoyed very much being over there
