It was a great experience. It was my first real tracking experience and was awesome. I guess it was approx 2 Km on 1 side. It had steps and tall grass where there was water flowing and rocks to climb. Some places were a bit slippery. I experienced a whole set of treks in just one place. At the top of the hill, I enjoyed the cool Breeze and the calm environment in the middle of the clouds . At the foot of the hill, I enjoyed fresh butter milk.
Hutridurga is one of the easiest treks near Bangalore. It is 65 km away from the city and we can witness the sunrise from this point. Parking is available at the base point. The base point is the start of the fortress which was built during the 18th century. The trail starts about half a km away from the base point. There are about 3 to 4 view points which includes Shiva temple at the top of the hill. The locals have carved steps all through the trail which will make the trek easier for some people. If there is no mist, you can witness the sunrise. There is no drawback if there is mist too, the views are beautiful from the view points and the trek is also worth it. The paths will be slightly confusing in the dark and due to rain. It's better to go with a trekking expert. Be careful about bears. Please do not litter the place
The trail is amazing! You get to explore a lot of view points and trails as well on your own You won't see much locals once u start the trek... There is no one to monitor or guard so Ensure to be more vigilant in the all the view points since there is no safety rail in place. It took about 5 KM back & forth. As a human I request kindly do not litter and carry your plastic waste it's really an beautiful place let's maintain the same!
Serene and peaceful trek with green trails. Steps have been carved in and rails have been installed to make it easier for all age groups. Better to go early in the morning for the sunrise or on cloudy days when there's a cool breeze. The small cave that takes one to the peak is a real thrill. Overall, a great experience.
I would rate this Trek in easy to moderate category. The steps are well cut in the rocks and the Trek is very well marked. It would be better to start early in the morning to enjoy the beautiful sunrise from the top. There is a small temple at the top, and can be used as a pit stop before further heading for the summit.
Simple, pretty hike. They have carved steps into the boulders to make it easier to climb, to be honest it's a complete put off for someone like me. Of course the idea is to make it accessible to many but well. I loved the little temple on top, the layered fort walls, beautiful doorways at each level. Can be easily done in less than an hour to the top.
It was a peaceful Trek,, difficulty level would be moderate, I could do it in about an hour one way, it differs from person to person. There is a temple on top and we thought that was the was off the trail and cooked there, but realised later that there is more to it, that was another trail in a different direction. Most of the trail has stepped carved and with directions. Oh you want to catch the sunrise, suggest you get there by 5/530am.
This was the best Trek ever I have seen. Felt like heaven. That fog and mountains feels so good. It was an easy trek and so beautiful to watch and enjoy. Varaha anjaneya will welcome you to the trek. A dog will trek with you, which is staying there . That was so friendly and it's like a security guard from monkeys . Took so many good pictures and videos. If you are planning to go for this then, without any second thought you can visit. Try to start your trek as early as possible before the sun rises. The fog will make you forget all the things and take you to another world of nature. You will definitely love it for sure. It's better to take some water and also some snacks to eat on top. In this trek 3 view points are there to enjoy. I really loved it. No registration or no payment is required for this. Don't miss to visit this, during monsoon season.

It is an amazing Trek experience that one can do near Bangalore. It would take about an hour to the top if you climb slowly and soak in the atmosphere and the views. There is a temple on the top but there are monkeys you need to be careful of. There
