Hutatma Rajguru Smarak (Rajguru Wada) - Historical place museum in Rajgurunagar - Pune, India

This is well secured national heritage. Rajguru's house is 1 bhk with a secret tunnel with river sight view it has beautiful lawn.

I am humbled to visit Hutatma Rajgurus house. Very beautiful and divine place

Very nostalgic visit to this smarak of Hutatma Rajguru. There is no entry ticket. When we are coming from Pune to Rajgurunagar, as we are on the bridge over river, we can see this at our 9 O'clock position. After crossing river, on the left hand side, there is board indicating location of this monument.

We went on Ride to Chass Kaman Dam and on return journey visited Hutatma Rajguru Samarak. The house has been restored. Must visit atleast once in lifetime.

This is the Birth Place of Great Freedom Fighter Hutatma Shivram Hari Rajguru (hutaatmaa shivraam hrii raajguruu). Such birth place is now converted into the smarak (smaark) and known as Hutatma Rajguru Smarak (Rajguru Wada) hutaatmaa raajguruu smaark (raajguruu vaaddaa). Its located on the Bhima River bank. Such wada looks like a historical monuments. Inside the smarak you can find Photoframe of Hutatma Rajguru. Also, there are many boards which gives you information regarding Biography of Hutatma Rajguru as well other historical movements. It has Birth Room (jnmaacii kholii) & Thorala Wada (thorlaa vaaddaa ). Place is still under the rennovation. The river view is amazing from here. Must visit once to know much about Hutatma Rajguru & his contribution to get freedom for the country.

Always Feel good to know about the indias freedom fighters and want to know about them. So birth and living place said most things about them. The place is well mentained. Happy to visit the place.

Google map says the place is open from 9 am. The sign over there says 9.30 am-5.30 pm. However, the place opened at 10.15 am as the caretaker was late. The place is nicely located by the river and the birth house is full of informative posters. Next door near the entrance, thorlaa vaaddaa also has posters of information in the passage. Wada itself is locked so can't visit inside. There is a dog in the passage who barks at the visitors. Make sure he is tied down as he is very aggressive. Need about 15-20 mins to look around. There is a courtyard with old houses which are locked. The birthplace is open with informative posters and a grain well. You can park car or bike outside the house. Way there from the highway is small and undeveloped. So be careful while driving, riding. Better to take the market route than one closer to the river bridge. Coming from Pune, take the second left and not the immediate left after the bridge. Hope it helps!
