Small, yet well run and efficient airport. From the Swift arrivals to quick and efficient departures - this airport has it all. On arrival we got to walk from the plane to the terminal building, that was a beautiful experience and less than a 100 metre walk. Departure was pleasant and very efficient. Quick security and luggage handling, friendly staff and unique cozy atmosphere. Don't expect the airport to have a lot of "duty free" shopping and luxury lounge, but there are some shops with souvenirs and snacks. You probably will not need more than one hour to check in baggage and clear security. With hand luggage only - can be done in 5-10 minutes. I saw a gentleman started to clear security as the "final boarding" was being announced, and he still made it onboard. Hope this helps
Small airport but clean and well maintained. The Indigo staffs were super helpful too. Since it's a tiny airport, there is no option for food. So, it's better to eat before your flight. The check in was a breeze. First experience was highly positive.
It's a small airport but seems to receive flights from 4 major metros. The day I arrived there were 4 fights scheduled for the whole day, from Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad and Bengaluru. You just walk into the airport building as the distance from the plane is so short. There are 2 luggage carousels and all in all a pretty laid back airport. I was pleased to note that the flight was on time. Washrooms need much improvement though. They were wet and had no toilet paper.
The airport is located at 30 mins distance from the city centre, you may choose to come here by private vehicle or even travel by the city bus. However, it misses out on inhouse restaurants and stores. The airport just hosts basic amenities like a mobile charging station and drinking water. There is sufficient capacity/space for the passenger waiting area.
Hubbali Airport is in a beautiful area, well-kept and tidy. The bathrooms could be better, but the Indigo staff and security were really nice. It's a small airport, so don't expect a lot of food choices. There's a little stall for snacks and drinks.

The newly developed airport is well connected from Delhi, Chennai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Mumbai. Indigo dominates the routes. The airport is small and cozy. Traffic is high during arrival and departure. The washrooms are clean and well ventilated and CISF and ground staff are cooperative.
