I recently visited this place based on a recommendation, and I must say it lived up to the hype. The museum dedicated to Portuguese culture was a real gem, providing a captivating journey through history and art. The exhibits were well-curated, and I learned so much during my visit. The cafe on-site was a pleasant surprise. Not only did it offer a delightful selection of Portuguese cuisine, but the atmosphere was also inviting, making it a perfect spot to relax and enjoy a meal or a cup of coffee. What impressed me the most was the cleanliness of the entire facility. It was evident that the staff takes great care in maintaining the premises, creating a pleasant and hygienic environment for visitors.Additionally, having ample parking facilities available was a convenience that made my visit hassle-free. It's always a relief to find a place with good parking options, especially in busy areas.Overall, I had a wonderful experience here, and I highly recommend it to anyone interested in Portuguese culture and history. It's a nice place to spend a day, whether you're a history enthusiast or simply looking for a peaceful spot to enjoy some delicious food and explore a fascinating museum.

To begin with, it's a beautiful place, architecturally. A central brick staircase that leads to three levels. Each floor is unique with a triangular volume to the entire space. Windows are designed in a sleek way, and so are the doors to such openings. It is an amazing example for any architecture student or anyone who is interested in contemporary architecture. Pay attention to the details and the place has so much to offer. For visitors with a non architectural background, the museum has a collection of a lot of illustrations, sketches and technical drawings of historic Goan structures. The floors are well lit, and the balconies open to the views of neighboring houses that would make you feel like you're in a fairytale. I have added a picture of the same for you to visualise. The entry fee is about 150/- with a 50/- coupon that you can redeem at the cafe or a souvenir shop in the opposite side of the road. The ambience of the place is very green, and over-all gives a vibe that we would see in cartoons, amidst a forest type scenario.

This place is amazing. Architecture is really beautiful. This place gives a different kind of vibe. Full of greenery. Entry fee is 150 and can be redeemed at the cafe. Worth visiting. All the buildings here are unique and beautiful.Easily accessible road. Keep it clean and green.

The museum designed by Gerard de Cunha is a must visit place in Goa for art enthusiasts especially architects and designers. One can learn the great deal of simplicity and style from this Ship like structure. The museum is open to all with a fee of Rs150 that includes a Rs50 voucher that you can use at their small canteen or at the nearby gallery of Mario de Miranda. We spent about two hours at this place gathering all the aesthetics and beauty of it. I would highly recommend one visiting this place. PS: The curator at the front desk can help you guide to a rice paddy fields nearby or Tado lake that are sort of like a hidden gem around this part of Goa that you should not miss.

A tribute by one great (Architect Gerad de Cunha) to another great Mario Miranda. The context is Goan history, evolving Goan architecture pre Portuguese occupation and after Portuguese occupation. Set among natural city slopes amidst green environs, it is a quite soothing place to be in, particularly if you the well curated objects, framed explainers, photographs, artefacts and overall cleanliness, something a government themed museum may not offer. Though the scope is small, yet they are doing a wonderful job and maintaining the place so well. A souvenir outlet, carrying stamp of legendry Mario Miranda on almost all souvenir and articles on sale, is a a welcome feature. Don't forget to have a look at roof of the school which doubles up as a open theatre cum stage cum open auditorium. Clearly the Architect has conceptualised and shaped the place so well. Don't miss this place if you want to carry with you part of Goan history, Goan Architecture and in a way a small slice of Indian heritage!

Cute little place, insta worthy spot. The Mario store opposite the houses of Goa museum is a boutique store with quirky stuff to purchase. There is parking available and the museum is 150rs entry ticket with a 50rs coupon to use in the shop or cafe.

Locating it is tricky coz the houses in this entire locality are nothing less than beautiful....seems like some old European colony.....the houses are pretty but the museum gallery doesn't impress much....for those who are not much of beach lovers like me may try visiting this place to see this vintage side of Goa.
