4 stars are for the Hospitality of the owner, Awesome breakfast and Authentic dinner service provided. Bookings were made online. They're having 2 or 3 boats. Rooms were not that great as compared to other boat houses. But in terms of experience of living in boat house over Dal lake it was unique and awesome. Small boat for conveyance is provided by them when asked.
We had a pleasant 3 day stay at the houseboat. It is spacious and clean, good enough for 6-7 persons. The sitting area was nicely decked up, though the interiors and bedrooms need a little touch up.Bilal's father is a very efficient and caring host. He welcomed us with kahwa. He personally took care of all our small needs, arranged sight seeing tours. We did not take any food there. A special thanks to Mr Majid, a very decent and soft spoken person, for showing us around.
Place is in central location. Boat is efficient and clean. My hosts, Bilal and his father were very good hosts. Bilal helps out as personal guide too. It was very comfortable, warm and relaxing stay there. best place for solo travellers, backpackers as it is budget friendly too.
It was a pleasant stay at the new pala palace house boat. Located @ gate no 7. Host Bilal and his father was very welcoming. Bilals father had picked and dropped us to the other side whenever it's needed. Only thing we missed is the food. We couldn't order food from them, no worries will try next time.

I had an amazing time here.Even though Bilal wasnt in Srinagar,he made sure my time here was pleasant.Bilal's father is a really good host.He treated me like one of his own kids.Uncle made delicious gostaba for dinner one day.He even helped me on where to get the shared cabs for Gulmarg and ,pahalgam.The rooms are clean and well maintained.The best part about this houseboat is that it faces dal lake and boulevard road.Sipping on hot kahwa at night facing the view is extremely soothing.Meeting these people made my solo travel to Kashmir memorable.If in Srinagar this is a must visit place for a comfortable and enchanting stay
Very poor facility.. even you can't even charge your mobile because of no 24hr electricity ..also lightings in the house is not good, it only has LED white light..
