House Of Bharath Rathna Sir M Visvesvaraya - Central Government Office in Muddenahalli, Thirnahalli - Chikkaballapura, India

This is a must visit if you wander anywhere near Chikkaballapur. It's situated just 7 kms from here. Sir MV's home is converted to a museum which gives you a glimpse of his life, certificate, awards, items used by him are on display. It is free for visit and very well maintained. Photography is not allowed inside

A place where you feel extremely proud and yet humbled at the same time! Sir M. Visveswaraiah is a Bharath Ratna awardee and a great engineer, India and the world has seen. And this place is an hour drive from Bangalore towards Chikkaballapura. The house of Sir M Visveswaraiah is the birth place and the ground floor is now converted to museum which holds all his awards, original certificates, accolades, Bharath Ratna medal, photographs and many more items. There is also the street lamp which he used to study under. The museum is opened all days from 11am to 5pm except on Tuesdays. The guide there explains very well about all the things. Photography is prohibited inside as the museum holds all original items and awards. A MUST VISIT PLACE!

Must visit place. The museum next to the Sir MV's house offers a lot of interesting historical accounts. The Bharata Ratna conferred to Sir MV is displayed in the Museum.

Besides the house, there is a small museum where we could see the belongings of Bharat Ratna Sir M. Vishweshwaraiah. The place is well maintained. Anyone could be genuinely feel that these are the things that should be shown to kids of today's society. FYI&A, Photography is prohibited

It is the place/house where the Great Bharath Rathna Vishveshvaraiah took birth. You can visit his house with big compound, now protected under the Government of Karnataka. Mysore maharaja funded to remodel/reconstruct detoriated parts of the house. The place includes a musiam where we can see various acievements and information about sir ji. We can see Bharath Rathna Award Medal also here.

Well maintained. There is the museum with the street light under which Sir M Vishweshwaraiah studied and his samadhi with a nice garden a short walk from the museum. Covid restriction update as on 2nd January 2021 Only the first 100 allowed per day. On the Sunday we visited the security person said they stopped entry at 1 PM. Tuesday is holiday.

It is a beautiful place to visit and experience the simple living of a brilliant human being. It's very inspiring to see the things he used ,the lamp post under which he sat and studied... And many other things. His smaraka is just a few metres away. Very cleanly maintained. As of now, they are maintaining Tuesday as a holiday.
