Hotel Woodville Palace Shimla ( A Heritage property since 1938 ) - Hotel in Shimla - Shimla, India

A beautiful heritage hotel called Hotel Woodville Palace, Shimla. It is absolutely stunning! The hotel is a perfect blend of history and luxury. The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive. The hotel also have a lovely courtyard and with devdar tress around it. I highly recommend it if you're looking for a unique and memorable stay!

I spent 2 nights at Woodville Palace this weekend We booked our stay from Make My Trip and chose this property since we were looking for a secluded, serene place to relax our senses. The room given to us was too small and I'll maintained. It was close to the Parking with no privacy and constant noise from outside. There was a wedding in the property making it hard for others to enjoy their stay. However, the property staff on receiving this feedback upgraded us to a different room at the back of the hotel where it was calmer and I enjoyed 1 night in peace. The food including breakfast buffet is quite average, so is room service. The price for food for in room service is priced between 300-500 but in taste it doesn't match the cost. I found the staff to be cordial and helpful in their approach. I would not recommend anyone to stay here until the management works on the rooms and creates a better Service standard.

I really enjoyed my stay at the Woodville Palace. If you want to travel back in time a bit, to have a classic, in the best sense old fashioned hotel experience, it's definitely worth coming here. A beautiful heritage building full of history with very polite, helpful and attentive staff. Thanks to the whole Team! i will definitely come again if i am in the area.

Stayed at this property for 2 nights as a group of 8 people. The attending staff is lethargic. They exchanged the luggage of people in our group. There were no water bottles provided in the room even upon request. Multiple calls had to be made for simple requests like fresh towels or toilet paper. Coming to the in-house restaurant, I cannot stress this enough: they have to improve their food quality. Most of the dishes were oily, sometimes undercooked, heavily overpriced and didn't have much flavor to it at all. I mean you're paying a premium for the dining experience and the least that could be served to us is good food. I was literally dreading to eat at this restaurant cause of no options nearby. The restaurant staff was, however, polite and helpful. The only good experience of this hotel is that it's vintage! Very classy on the outside. Apart from that I had a poor stay experience and even poorer dining experience!

In uncrowded civil area amidst trees, less than 5 minutes walk from CM residence and Mall Road. Heritage structure with rooms in old wing which are in a rather worn out state. The heritage bar has an old world charm and dinning room is definitely worth a meal with linen covered tables. New wing has good rooms, spa, dinning hall. Adequate parking. See pictures.

Avoid the property if you can, in the name of heritage they are selling an ill maintained premise. If you have to stay, must stay in only newly constructed rooms and a cheaper rate. Avoid the heritage section, just by hanging two old paintings they are calling it heritage which is indeed old but completely in mess. These rooms also dont have wifi the goibibo is listing it has, its nothing less than a fraud. Hotel must only be used for large events only as they have space, for your shimla experience avoid. For the price they have, you will get much better option.

Nice heritage hotel which takes you back in time. Pictures of members of royal family are there everywhere in common areas which adds to the charm of the hotel royalty fascinates you.
