Hotel Vijay - Hotel in Madurai - Madurai, India

I did saw few of the bad reviews before visiting and I was scared as it was all ladies group and senior citizen. But trust me its a great hotel located in the center so everything is nearby. They provide food, coffee. So yeah its great.

It is located in just 1km from railway station. Room size is small compared to other hotels I stayed. There is space only for a queen bed. I got an addition bed, which I had put on the floor. There was no space to walk. They gave soaps and towels for bathing, but no other amenities. Not even water bottles or cups/tumblers. Bathroom is ok, but not sanitized. Service is ok, but they expect money everytime. Average place to stay for a night. If you have children, it may not be right choice. Parking is also congested. Cars were parked one behind the other. If your car is parked well inside, other cars must be taken out. I think they get your keys.

We had a pleasant stay as they have re painted, rooms are neat and tidy, well maintained liked the location as it is centre for all the places, Reception persons were kind too , room service by Naigayya was too good... he took care of service, the only thing is about car parking... apart from that we had a nice stay

Good place to stay. Rooms are neat and spacious, they provided towels and water bottles too. Near to the Madurai Junction railway station and also to the Meenakshi Amman temple.Wifi is not available but that should not be a problem since mobile network is working fine. There are many hotels for food nearby , Zomato swiggy also works . Response from the staff was nice , Overall a good place to stay in a reasonable cost.

Good Experience as I hve directly called to hotel and requested flexible check in - check out time i.e. 8.00 oclock night to next day 8.00 night, they have accepted the same & charged me for 1 day only as I stayed fo 24 hours...further they allowed me to stay for 1 hour extra. Pros. :- Neat & Clean Room, Bed Sheets, Towels & Toilet Near to Temple & Railway Station Restaurants & Market is nearby Murugan Idli is 500 Mtr away AC is working good Cons :- Hot water is available in morning 5 to 10 Water bottle provided was not mineral water & not branded...It seems RO water filled in a unlabled plastic bottle..the cap of the water bottle was not sealed They dont provide shampoo

We had booked vijay hotel in madhurai , the booking was for 1 day for 2 deluxe rooms. We are a family of 5 members, if u are thinking of booking the same hotel please read our feedback and experience for 1 day Note: it's not a 3 star Hotel 1. Staff is friendly only to people who know tamil and they treat people from the north in a not so friendly way. 2. We informed the hotel that we will reach by 5pm, it should be allocated to us for 24 hr, but to our suprise hotel staff told us to strictly vacate hotel by 11.30 am and we even informed the hotel before hand as well. 3. Hotel staff will be banging door multiple times for tea, coffee and food even after saying no , it's really distrubing. 4. Ac remote and ac display doesn't work and fan don't have regulator nobs. 5. They even threaten the customer. Only Plus point: Hotel is on road side and near to Meenakshi temple Please invest some more money and book another hotel to have a pleasant experience.

Clean rooms & bathrooms. Selective channels are available on tv. They provided soaps & towels. No inhouse restaurant. They provide breakfast from nearby restaurant. Hot water only in morning from 6 to 10 am. AC was working

A good hotel located near the periyar busstand. Near to koodalazhakar temple also. Have around 10 limited parking inside hotel. Hotel is somewhat older. But clean and tidy. Furnishing was neat and bathroom well maintained. Good is having hotwater and very good flow of water and shower. Lift available and room service available. I like the proximity of this hotel to temples and close to shopping area (pothys, murugan idly shop etc.). I used to stay here whenever parking available. Price is cheaper compared to similar hotels. Reservation required for verification of parking and room types availability.
